Three Best Friends {Marlene, Mary and Lily} Headcanons

When Marlene gets drunk, completely and utterly out of it, Mary and Lily have a routine of ice-cream, crying in the bathroom and putting the blonde to bed. It started around fifth year.

For the first few days that Mary was in St. Mungo’s her two friends didn’t want to leave her side even for a second. Marlene was the one to argue with several nurses before they gave up and stopped trying to kick the girls out when it wasn’t visiting hours.

In their third year it was Lily and Mary who convinced Marlene that attempting to climb the Whomping Willow was a bad idea, it was Lily who eventually threatened to tie Marlene to her bed post if she tried it.

Out of the three Marlene is certainly the most stubborn and cold.

Marlene loved going round to Lily’s because she got to see proper muggle life, something the McKinnon house never seemed to incorporate as much. Despite Marlene’s mother being a muggle.

Secretly Marlene loved that James had a crush on Lily, if she hoped for only one thing it might be that Lily would give him a chance.

After what happened to Mary the girls got closer than they thought possible. Protective didn’t even cover it and closed off was an understatement. It took a while for them to begin trusting people again but finally they did; although it was only a select few.
