"Because, he told me if I did, he would only make things worse. I was scared and I didnât want to worry you more than youâve already been lately," Tatia tried to explain her logic, knowing none of that should have matter, she should have told him anyway. "I am sorry, I know I should have told you, please donât be mad at me," she murmured before not being able to talk anymore, sobs taking over. She lifted her face from her hands as he promised her nothing would happen to her or Emma, her face blotchy and eyes red rimmed, swollen and glossy with tears. She nodded silently, not trusting herself to speak as she leaned forward to rest her forehead on his shoulder with a loud and shaky sigh.Â
He felt a bit guilty for not hiding his worries better around her, and then, not noticing her own stress while he spent so much effort trying to get things prepared for Emma's arrival. He felt as if he had neglected her, pursing his lips together in disapproval. "You can tell me anything." Nik whispered after a long moment of silence passed between them. "You don't have to frightened- of me or Mikael." Nik explained, unable to be angry when her sobs took over. His arms tightened protectively around her body while he laid his chin on top of her head. "Believe me, little bird. No harm will come to you or Emma." He insisted.
Make sure your face lights up any time she enters the room. Do this throughout her life and she will always feel treasured.

If there was anything the hybrid could not bear, it was reliving the pain of losing her. Talking of it was enough to make him shut down entirely, and as Tatia continued to explain herself, he shook his head, reverting his eyes from her. "Stop saying things like that. Nothing will happen to you or the little one." He replied through clenched teeth. "Why don't you see that?"
Tatia shook her head at his words, silently disagreeing with him as tears continued to slide down her face. âYou donât understandâŠ.â she started, trying to find the words to tell him this carefully. âI have been having these dreams, horrible nightmares,â she began explaining, looking down again at her fidgeting hands that lay on top of her large belly. âThey are nightmares of Mikael, but these⊠there is something wrong. It feels too real, Nik,â she took a deep breath. âHe said he is trying to come back, that there is something wrong with the other side. He said⊠that when he comes back, he is going to find me and put me back where I belong and thatââ she broke off as she tried to hold back a sob. âHe said that Emma was an abomination and that he would kill her too, saying that any child of yours would only be evil,â she managed to get out before breaking into full on sobs, now holding her face in her hands as she cried violently sitting at the edge of their bed.Â
Nik took in every word of hers carefully, his fear mounting though his face lacked an expression altogether. If there was anything he didnât wish to do, it was frighten Tatia even more, and it was apparent to him now that she truly feared something wrong. âWhy didnât you tell me this before?â The hybrid asked evenly, though he realized that it hardly mattered now. He shook his head in disbelief, though stepping forward as Tatia broke out into a sob. âMikael isnât coming back. He is long dead. I made sure of that myself when I drove a stake into his heart.â Nik replied through clenched teeth. It wasnât that he was angry with Tatia. If anything, he was irritated that through the grave, Mikael was still an obstacle they faced. âAnd if by some miracle he is not, anyone who dares to hurt you or Emma will be struck down in the blink of an eye. Do you understand me?â He reached forward, leaning down in front of Tatia as his hands held onto her shoulders. His eyes were locked onto her, willing his love to believe him.
          My Dearest Niklaus,Â
I have written this letter as a just in case, if you will. I know, even though modern medicine has come so far, that unexpected things can happen during births, and there are things I need you to know if that were to happen. You are the love of my life, the only man I have ever loved, the only man I will love. My heart has always been yours, from the day I met youâ the day Rebekah introduced us so long ago, even though it seems like it was yesterday. How far we have come since then. We are engaged to be married and we are about to have a daughter together; having the life we always wanted together. I know there are times that you doubt yourselfâ that you think you and the life you give me is not enough, and I need you to know that it is the farthest thing from the truth. A life with you, no matter what life it may be, is the only life I would or could ever want for me, as well as our baby girl. I have no doubts that if something happens to me (which would be the only reason you are reading this), you will take care of our daughter. I know you will love her far more than anyone else in the world possibly could because you are her father. Your blood runs through her veins and it is your job to take care of her, even if you are alone. I trust you with that. Words cannot describe, no matter how long I write, how much love I have for you, as there are not enough words in all the languages put together. You are my soul mate, my other half, the person that make me completeâ we are two halves that make a whole. Carry that love with you, and never forget me. Never let our precious Emma forget me or how much I love her, and that I will be watching over her if something is to happen to me. Treat her like the princess she is, and I have no doubts that she will have you wrapped around her tiny fingers, a perfect daddyâs girl.Â
Nik, I love you so much, and every moment I have spent with you has been the happiest of my life. You made my life worth living, you and our daughter. Take care of her, take care of each other. I will be watching, wishing I could be with you both always and forever. You will always be my moon, stars and the sun in my sky. Tell Emma her mother loves her, and that I want her to have the best of everything that life has to offer her, and to take care of her father as he will need it from time to time.Â
With all my love,
Tatia
My Little Bird,
Youâve made it clear the words you needed to say- words you had wished you had been given the chance to say long ago. Iâll admit, I thought you were foolish to do such a thing, but as I considered the exchange we had, I realized I was wrong, because I too had things I wish had not been left unsaid. I wouldnât miss the opportunity to amend that. Not again.
It seemed as if every moment after I lost you, I spent longing for the chance to see you once more. I thought somehow, miraculously, the day would come. Then, as the years turned into centuries, I lost all hope, and I decided I never wished to see you again. When you died, I thought my heart went with you. You were the bane of my existence. You were to blame for everything: my despair, my fury, my lust to inflict pain onto others... and I hated you. Truly, I hated you for making me fall hopelessly in love with you, and then leaving so soon. I hated you, because even after a thousand years, I still missed you as much as the day you left, and somehow, I loved you even more. For so long I blamed you when I was too cowardly accept my faults and wrongs. I blamed you because loving and missing you was far too much to bear. Please, do not think it was your fault. It has taken me far too long to realize that neither of us are to blame, but it was you that happened to help me see that. When you finally came home, I was foolish to believe I could continue to hide underneath my anger. I treated you terribly, and still, you managed to shatter all of the darkness I had been shrouded in for so long. You always do. I have never forgotten.
As you see, I am no poet. I have never been one for words, only actions- and my actions have spoken plenty over the last millennia. But I have decided if I have only one last chance to make things right and speak every unspoken word, itâs that Iâm sorry. Iâm sorry I havenât been able to hold you in my arms for last thousand years, and love you the way I always have. I'm sorry it took us far too long to reach the life we always wanted together. I will spend the rest of my existence making it up to you, because no one has deserved a second chance at life more than you. No one has loved you more than I, and I do it with all of my heart and soul, endlessly for both you and Emma. Youâll always be my little bird. Always. Have no fear, my love. Our time together with our little family is just beginning.
Forever Yours,
Niklaus
The Only Exception // Klatia
When Tatia slumped against the bed, still pulsating around him, she felt him cum inside of her almost instantly. Seconds later he was leaning against her as well, though only for a minute. Soon he was pulling them both down on the bed, collapsed and sated from their long and pleasure filled morning. When she could finally feel her limbs again, she rolled over to face him, throwing an arm over his chest as she couldnât cuddle as close as sheâd like with her large belly. âI am not sure we could do that more often than we already do,â she giggled, her hand trailing up his chest to land on his cheek, her thumb rubbing against his skin. âThat was a perfect morning for Valentineâs day thoughâ especially for my first one,â she grinned brightly at him.Â
It was moments later when Tatia finally stirred against his chest, her body pressed closely against his- at least, as close as she could get with her protruding belly. He smiled at his love, her words evoking a shameless pride through him. As her tiny hand reached up to cradle his cheek, he leaned into her touch, relaxed by the warmth she emanated. "Are you certain of that? I'd be willing to try." He laughed for a moment, peering down almost shyly as she grinned up at him. "It was." Nik murmured in agreement. "And it's only the start of the day." His words did not lack promise, and even though at times he felt foolish for engaging in trivial human holidays, he felt excitement to give and experience with Tatia the most of her human life. She more than deserved it.
How Far We've Come // Klatia
While Tatia did not normally act this irrational, her pregnancy hormones seemed to be getting the best of her lately, and she typically didnât realize it until later, never in the moment. In her mind, it seemed that he was in fact telling her she would gain that much weight in her pregnancy, and it didnât help considering how insecure she already was about it. Through her sobbing, she noticed that he had stopped walking through the woods all together, trying to explain his wording to her. When he said she had barely gained any weight at all, she looked back up at him, hands dropping to her lap again, to glare at him. âOf course I have! Look at me, I am of whale proportions,â she told him through a trembling bottom lip before actively crying again.Â
For a while, Nik was frozen in place, clutching Tatia as if his existence depended on it and scouring his brain for the right words to say- anything that would take the awful look off of Tatia's perfect features. "You're being ridiculous!" He exclaimed, brows knotted in disbelief and when he realized how harsh his tone was, his face softened immediately. "I just wish that you'd see yourself the way I see you." Nik murmured again, appearing boyish in the way his eyes fell to the ground bashfully. "You're beautiful, Tatia, and there isn't a soul that comes close to you. You're worrying over nothing." The hybrid assured his nearly hysterical love, hoping that these honest, though desperate words would appease her. Her rampant hormones were giving him whiplash, he thought shamefully.
The Only Exception // Klatia
This time when he slapped her ass a second time, she embraced it, a surprised yet satisfied moan leaving her lips. âYoursâ all yours,â she agreed with him as she pushed back into his hand and cock. His pace was hard and delicious; exactly what she had asked for and now she was nearing the edge quickly. She wasnât sure how much longer she could hold on, her and the bed that was hitting the wall of their bedroom hardâ and she wasnât sure if the wall or bed would survive if they kept this up much longer. Just like that, everything suddenly became too much for her and she was sent over the edge unexpectedly. Her walls clamped down on him tightly before fluttering, releasing all over him just as she promised while yelling out his name. Once her orgasm was over, she was slumped against the headboard, absolutely exhausted from their morning.
He was only a second away from collapsing when Tatia tightened around his very swollen cock, and came hard. Relief filled the hybrid as his own release came barely a moment later, her name leaving his lips religiously in a serious of deep moans and a wide assortment of various curse words along with it. Nik slumped against Tatia, suddenly becoming aware of his weight on her after a minute passed, and he pulled himself off of her, bringing her body off of the headboard along with him until they were both sprawled out carelessly on the bed naked. The hybrid was content with his love just like this. "We should do that more often." Nik joked once he regained his voice and some movement of his body.
How Far We've Come // Klatia
While it was Tatia who would endure the pain of giving birth to their child, it seemed she was far less worried than Nik was. She could see it all over his faceâ he was terrified that something would go wrong. On the other hand, Tatia wasnât worried about the labor so much considering in this time period, she had something to help with the pain. She didnât mind how protective he was (the majority of the time), in fact she found it to be adorable. âAre you saying you think I will weigh a thousand pounds as time goes on?â Incoming the horrible pregnancy hormones. Immediately all good feelings were gone for the moment and she was left with feeling insecure about her weight. To others she would be seen as being irrational, but in her mind, all of this seemed normal. Traitorous tears welled in her eyes at her misinterpretation of his words. âI guess itâs okay if I do thenâ because youâll be able to carry me,â she cried, her face falling in her hands as she cried over nothing, surely freaking him out.
Nik had a severe problem of not choosing his words carefully around a very pregnant and hormonal Tatia. It seemed her features fell instantly, her playful mood vanishing without warning and he slowed in his steps, wary of his moody fiance. The hybrid sputtered for the right words to say. "N-no." He murmured rather quietly before clearing his throat and gaining his confidence again. "No." Nik corrected more firmly. "That wasn't what I was implying at all." He went straight into damage control, stopping in his movements altogether now as he gazed down at his love. "I was only making a careless, tasteless joke." The hybrid went on as Tatia cradled her face into her hands, sobbing profusely out of nowhere. His cheeks burned a bright red in embarrassment, searching through his brain for something to say, anything he might be able to do to calm a panicking Tatia. "You've barely gained a pound." Which was clearly a lie, but it was all weight in their child, he was positive of. Gods, he would say anything to make this horror stop. "You're tiny."
Unpleasantville // Klatia
As her body was flushed and coated with sweat, Tatia reached behind her back with one hand and unclasped her bra like a pro before letting it fall down her arms, flinging it carelessly across the room. Her swelling breasts fell a bit, full and sensitive, nipples hardened and begging for attention. Half lidded brown eyes met his when he looked up at her, ensuring that he would always take care of her needs. His husky tone alone caused another whimper to leave her mouth, having always been turning on by his voiceâ none of this even counted the look he was giving her, a look that said he was about to meet every need she had, even ones she wasnât aware of. Lately she was constantly turned on, most of the time requiring no work on his part, all because of her pregnancy hormones, and having an orgasm was almost as easy. Once he pulled her swollen clit into his mouth, she fell back on the table, hands above her head to grab on to the ends of it for support, as she catapulted into an intense orgasm, screaming his name loud enough for neighbors to hear (if they had any). Her body had spasms, back arching off of the table while her thighs were impossibly tight around his head. Once she rode it out, with his help to the very end, she collapsed against the table breathless. âWhy was I mad at you again?â She asked quietly, a drunk like giggle escaping her lips afterward.
His eyes flickered up to Tatia as she reached behind herself, unclasping her bra effortlessly. Nik watched as the garment fell to the floor before his heated gaze lifted back up to her bare breasts, and if it were even possible, he grew harder at the sight of her naked chest. A hand with a mind of it's own reached up to take one of her very full breasts into his palm, and knowing how sensitive she was, Nik only allowed his thumb to flick carefully across her hardened nipple. It seemed only seconds later, Tatia broke apart at the seams, grinding herself into his face while her legs wrapped tightly around his head as she rode out every moment of her release. He moaned against her flesh, eager to capture every drop of her nectar, and greedy when he felt like he didn't get his fill. Nik stopped in his ministrations, removing his fingers from her swollen sex and licking them clean. He gave Tatia a moment to recollect herself, smiling at his love when her sated voice filled his ears and he stood to peck her lips softly. "Doesn't matter." He replied, amused. "Don't get too comfortable. I'm not done with you just yet." The hybrid promised, becoming more aware of the uncomfortable bulge in his jeans. They were certainly far from over.
Dot art on the kitchen table -
Look at her face. When did I inherit a little woman? Sometimes it feels like she went to sleep a baby and woke up as a little girl. Itâs not just her physical appearance either - itâs her mannerisms and the way she carries herself.
She only wants to wear dresses, she loves anything that sparkles, and she spends more time walking around the house in her momâs high heels than in her own shoes.
She loves art - She begs to paint on her easel out on the balcony. You canât always tell what tune is occupying her mind, but she loves to sing. She moves her head side to side and makes these passionately awkward faces that let you know she is feeling whatever music she is hearing. She dances and demands that everyone in her presence dances and itâs pretty cute up until you realize you are too old to be spinning as much as she wants you to.
I love every little nuance.
