Me and Siro made them together but Siro is the one making most of their background.

But they are both twins of Roberta and Nelson, and in my au (UnChained), they are both parts pirates who may or may not be trying to take care of their crippled rewound father, Nelson.

Obviously, I don’t have designs for them as kids yet (they’re probably in their mid 20s in these drawings) and we don’t have much of their backstory figured out but we having fun here :>

Until we get some stuff figured out, here’s some fun facts and hcs about them!

Reagan is the older twin by 3 minutes. And like most twins, she never lets Jules forget about it

Somewhere along the line, likely in the twins teen years, Julian got his father’s curse of “hating his first name with no explicit reason”, and he gets everyone to call him Jules instead

Meanwhile, Reagan HATES the nickname “Rea”. The only person who can get away with calling her that is Jules (and maybe Argent after taking care of them for a while)

They look a lot more like Nelson than Roberta. Which Roberta is SO upset about.

They have natural heterochromia. Idk if that’s possible since both their parents were born with solid brown eyes, but also idc cuz it’s fun character design

Reagan and Jules have a surprisingly strong bond. They realized at a really young age that they really only have each other, and they’d probably kill for one another despite how much they argue.

(Hate to change topic but I gotta talk about mah boy and his angst) Argent is SO protective of the twins once he does get attached to them. He sees a lot of himself and Grace in them and just wants to do everything to make sure they don’t end up like him and his sis :,)

Heres the thing you gotta understand about statistics. 

“Increases your chances by 80%” does not mean “there is now an 80% chance”. 

If your chances were previously 10%, your chances are now 18%, not 90%. 

if your chances were roughly 1%, they’re now just slightly less than 2%. 

thats how that works.

100% is just another way of saying twice more likely. So 100% more basically means multiply the number you do have by 2.

This is why I took stats instead of calc. Because I don’t build engineer bridges in my everyday life but I sure do read studies that affect how I might live my life if I misinterpret them.

I’m terrible at numbers and math but I knew this and I really take it for granted. The average person definitely assumes, quite understandably, that “600% INCREASE!!!” must always mean a whole lot even if it literally only means that one of something is now six of something. Politicians probably take a shitload of advantage of this confusion.

just remember that increased BY and increased TO are very different things.

Oh god I didn’t even think about that whole other layer of confusion. Yeah if you’ve got 100 people and one of them is sick, that’s 1% of them who are sick, so if it “increased BY 100%” then that means now two people are sick. If it’s “increased TO 100%” then all 100 people are sick.
