I never realized until drunkenly today that I will never love a cat as much as I loved my cat that I grew up with. She was my cat for 16 years and my life as we grew up. I miss her so much. It’s so stupid to miss an animal this much but I really do. I also realized that I will never love a dog as much as I love my current dog. He’s the first dog that’s “my” dog and is my pride and joy. He’ll forever be the standard and I can only hope I’ll spend a long life with him.
