Sometimes otherwise good artists will draw wings so nasty that it genuinely makes me angry. What are all these triangles hanging off of twigs? The drawing is supposed to be giving angel and instead its giving middle school art project

Tbh I do understand what trans mascs who say they wanna be feminine like trans femmes are trying to say but they are saying it in the most inconsiderate & tone deaf way possible. Like.

What you think you are saying: I wish I could choose feminity as a radical act and not have it forced upon me or assumed as my default state. I wish people took my gender nonconformity seriously and treated me Not Like A Girl when I wear dresses or makeup.

What you are saying: I wish I could be a man who chooses feminity, which is what trans femmes are. They are men who have chosen to be feminine instead of women/people who have been forced to be men. Directly contradicting how they understand themselves and move through the world.

Do you see the problem with this. Please use your critical thinking skills.

#and the problem is i understand the sentiment but guys you need to figure out a way to say that without distilling the trans femme #experience down to being a man who chose femininity. because that sucks. the implication sucks. and thats not what the experience of trans #femininity feels like. thats not whats happening to them. they are women/people who have been forced into masculinity against their will so #conflating them with men who choose to be feminine feels incredibly insulting. obviously.#sorry to discourse post but I've seen like 4 people making weird arguments about this #discorse #talking at you whether you like it or not
