Max rolled her eyes and smiled at Rachel who took out a cigarette and started to smoke it. Max waved her hand in front of her face “Ew.” She commented, hating it when Chloe smoked. She just hoped that Principal Wells didn’t notice this. Max knew Rachel would pick dare, but was Max ballsy enough to ask for a kiss.
“I dare you…” She paused putting her camera down so she wouldn’t break it. “Fuck it, I dare you to kiss me.” She shrugged.
“Oh yeah?” The girl flicked the barely smoked cigarette away, wiping her hand against her jeans before giving the girl a small smirk and leaning in. “Dare accepted, Hipster Chick.” She teased, pressing her lips to Max’s gently for a moment, capturing the girls bottom lip between her own before pulling back.
“Very ballsy, Caulfield. Truth or dare?” She asked with a smile, though a little disappointed her cigarette was gone.

Rachel calmly watched the stars float along her bedroom ceiling, relaxing her significantly. She always liked watching the stars fill her room with a soft glow and she was always thankful that Chloe had made the device brighter using a flashlight once upon a time.
“I just didn’t want to wake you up, it was an accident.” She sniffled softly before wiping her cheeks dry. “Really fucked up.” her fingers traced along her wrists softly for a moment, exactly where the wicked duct tape had secured her hands together. “Sorry.”
The hug was alright this time, since Rachel knew this wasn’t a dream and she was safe at home, with Chloe to protect her when she couldn’t protect herself. It was comforting to know her girlfriend always had her back.
“I wasn’t asleep.” It was a straight out lie, but she didn’t want the blonde to feel bad about it. She didn’t want to fuck up one more thing in her life because she seemed to be picking up that same trend all over again. “I couldn’t.” That part wasn’t a lie, she did have a hard time falling asleep that night for some reason.
Normally Chloe could sleep like there wasn’t so much happening in her life, she was the definition of sleeping like a baby. But lately something had been picking at her brain. On top of that the nightmare of her dad had been coming back more, but she refused to admit that to anyone. They only came around when she was lost, confused, hurting, and everything in between.
“And it wouldn’t matter if you woke me up because I’m always here for you. Sleeping or not sleeping, I want to be able to help you.” It was the honest truth, she always wanted to be there for Rachel. Maybe it’s so there was no way she could fuck up and lose her again.
Although that made Rachel feel a little better about the situation, she didn’t entirely believe Chloe. Chloe was never the best liar anyway, but Rachel cut her the slack and simply chose to believe the bluenette with a soft smile. “Alright, if you say so, Chlo.” She watched the soft stars for s few moments, thinking over the sweat inducing nightmare.
Rachel had been doing well in recovery, night terrors hardly infiltrated her dreams now but today seemed to just be exceptionally bad, she turned over, gazing at Chloe for a moment, almost like she was memorizing every detail of the girls face. She was pretty, not girly pretty like Rachel or Dana for instance, but you couldn’t deny that she was stunning to look at.
“Same goes for you, sleeping or not sleeping I’m here for you.” Rachel closed her eyes for a moment to combat the pounding sensation in her head. “Wake me up if you ever, like, need me. Ever.”

Max continued to blush and nodded, “Uh yeah.” She giggled awkwardly rubbing the back of her neck. She was so close to Rachel now she could kiss her, it was tempting to say the least but Max wasn’t a bold person. She felt nervous and shy around Rachel. Being with Chloe she was more relaxed but they had been besties since practically birth.
“Truth or Dare?” She asked back biting her bottom lip.
“That’s hella cute.” Rachel smiled, noticing her awkward and shy Max seemed to be. She pulled back, sitting back in her seat and taking a loose cigarette from her back pocket. Rachel was a daring person, she took risks for the sake of it and it never mattered to her. Consequences were considered after.
“Dare, of course.” a smirk now decorating her face neatly.

Chloe shook her head at the apologies before she stood up, walking over to the desk that sat on the other side of the room. There she rummaged around for a moment before pulling out the small electronic device. She walked back over to Rachel side, plugging in the globe she watched as the stars shined on the ceiling. After that she sat herself down next to her girlfriend.
She leaned forward and cupped her girlfriend’s cheek, softly wiping away the remaining tears that were falling down her face. “Hey, you know you never have to be sorry. It’s not your fault he did fucked up things to you. There’s nothing to be sorry for, okay?” Her voice was soft as she tried to comfort the blonde the best that she could manage.
Deciding the best decision was to pull her back into a hug that’s what she ended up doing. Comfort had never, and when it says never it means never, be one of Chloe’s strong suites. But she hoped that she was getting better at it, for Rachel’s sake.
Rachel calmly watched the stars float along her bedroom ceiling, relaxing her significantly. She always liked watching the stars fill her room with a soft glow and she was always thankful that Chloe had made the device brighter using a flashlight once upon a time.

Max giggled at Rachel’s pose, she was such a drama queen but Rachel was also an actress so it was part of her ways. And it was also the reason Max was so taken with her, she truly was an enigma of it’s self and what better thing to bond over than the arts?
“You always look good Rachel, you don’t have a bad angle to you.” She flirted slightly and blushed. She then was taken a back by Rachel’s question and Max hated Truth or Dare.
“Um, Truth?” She asked, not fully confident in her answer but truth seemed way better than dare.
“Have you ever kissed a girl?” Playing truth or dare with Rachel was like playing with a middle schooler, she asked the cheesy questions and gave the silly dares that would make any middle schooler giggle till their stomachs hurt. But Rachel loved games. She loved little games like never have I ever, truth or dare and 2 truths and a lie.
She grinned, still up close and personal with the photographer, almost close enough to count the little freckles on her face. Rachel never minded much about personal space anyway, she liked the close feeling she got, though if she was told to back up and clearly made someone uncomfortable she would move.

Chloe knew that since everything had happen that touch hadn’t been her favorite thing, but she had just woken up. She thought that maybe, even know that she was having an episode, it might help. But it didn’t and it got her pushed away, which she understood. The same thing had happened to Chloe, just not on the same level that had happened to Rachel.
Once her girlfriend was sobbing into her shoulder she wrapped her long, tattooed arm around the blonde. She hugged her tightly, whispering soothing words as she pressed soft kisses to the top of her head. She knew that Rachel had put a lot of work into getting over the episodes, but it was also PTSD. It wasn’t going to go away in a few months that was for sure.
“I’ve got you, babe. It’s just us and whatever you need.” She pressed another kiss to the top of blonde hair, as she tried to reassure her. The best first step she could take would be to calm her down and to wait the sobbing calm down. After that she would try to talk about what might have caused the dark room to come back and haunt her.
It took Rachel some time to calm herself, keeping her face hidden against the bluenettes shoulder and taking slow and deep breaths, the soothing words helping her relax once again. She muttered soft apologies to the other girl gently, closing her eyes for the moment to calm herself further. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you up.” she whispered.
PTSD was tough on Rachel. She had been trying her hardest to work through it but she knew it was a long journey she had to face. She sat back from the other girl and switched on the lamp at the side of the bed. She took a moment to wipe her eyes free of tears. She exhaled softly, sitting back for a moment, her blanket resting over her legs.
“I’m so sorry, Chloe.” She apologized once more, shoving her messy bed hair back over her shoulders and crossing her arms over her chest momentarily. She felt vulnerable at that time, panicked and sleepy. She eyed around the room anxiously for a few seconds, rubbing her eyes a little. She hated accidentally waking up her girlfriend in the middle of the night.

The sobs that came from her girlfriend didn’t take long to wake the blue haired girl up from her slumber. It also didn’t take long for her to scramble over to Rachel and pull her into a tight hug. The tight hug was her attempt to help her calmdown, even if it was just in the slightest. ❝─ ᴵ'ᴹ ᴴᴱᴿᴱ, ᴿᴬᶜᴴᴱ. ᴵ'ᴹ ᴴᴱᴿᴱ. ᴺᴼᵀ ᴴᴵᴹ . ❞ Her words and tone were soft, soothing as she ran a hand through the blonde’s hair.
In the few months since Max and Chloe had tracked the free spirited blonde to the DARK ROOM , Chloe had gotten use to Rachel waking up in a panic. Most of their nights were spent together after the incident, the bluenette wanting to be there to protect her. But as time with on the panic must have slowed because she started going out and sleeping without Chloe by her side. Tonight was just a night where it came back to haunt her.
At first the hug startled her, causing her to push against Chloe harshly, wriggling slightly before hearing Chloe speak so softly to her, causing her to calm down significantly. Her breathing still came heavy and forced, tears remnant in her eyes. “. . . Chloe?” she asked softly, feeling around at the girl before hugging her gently.
Rachel had been so proud of herself until this slip up. She had been going out by herself and sleeping by herself in her own bed without a nightlight. Now it all felt like it was for nothing. She cried out into the bluenettes shoulder. So much work gone to waste. Rachel could hardly even make it to school by herself anymore, considering she still had classes with him. Everything seemed harder lately. The Dark Room was constantly haunting her, in her every step. Her photos posted wickedly and shared. Her trauma was an art project that she could hardly speak about.

Every since the Dark Room, Rachel had experienced Night Terrors and fits of panic often. Awake or asleep, the girl could never escape the fear of the Dark Room. Her fear of her teacher and classmates. The fear of touch.
She awoke with a scream of fear, her eyes wide and her face dampened with tears. Another night terror. She was panicked, unable to see in the dark, the pillow separating her and the person laying next to her. She was in a moment of clear panic, her hands grasping her neck. She almost felt like she was choking, like she couldn’t take a breath.
She swiftly felt around for her lamps switch, panicked mumbles escaping her lips and sobs bursting from her. She needed the light, she needed it. An inescapable fear of the dark came along with her after her final rescuing. “Come on, fucking come on!” she sobbed out in desperation.

Everybody-usedme ;
“She left us alone because were fucking adult, Rachel. We can handle ourselves. We don’t need her.” As huffy as he was acting, he already missed Victoria. Crossing his arms like a child, he wanders over to where she was sitting and flops down, pressing his cheek against her shoulder. It wasn’t like the three of them never split up before, but it was never easy. “We should all go on vacation together next time..” The boy quietly suggests, wrapping his arms around hers. On all accounts, he was truly acting like a baby about this.
Nate was dealing with his separation sadness by being an overly clingy child. “We should do something fun. I know Vic left a bottle of Bacardi around here somewhere..”
“Well, I am. We aren’t sure about you yet.” She teased playfully, knowing he was missing Victoria as much as she was. Normally they weren’t separated for as long as this, only when someone had to go away for a little while or during family events. She listened to his suggestion before nodding a bit and resting her arm around him, her fingers playing in his hair softly. “Totally agree, imagine how hella fun that would be.” She didn’t mind the clinginess at all really, it was fine to her.
“Yeah? You sure you can keep up with me if we start drinking?” Rachel was actually fond of drinking. At home, in public, at parties, it didn’t matter where really. “Shall we go find the booze?”

Max laughed as the whirring of her Polaroid camera could be heard, she shook the photo and put it into her bag for later. “Well, you’ll be apart of the Max Caulfield Photo Memorial Wall.” She winked. She had to admit Rachel was hot as fuck, and she totally had a crush on her. She wasn’t sure if there was anything between Rachel and Chloe, or just simple flirtation. but she’d definitely be down to being with Rachel.
She then sat down with Rachel. “And I’m the photographer shouldn’t I be getting paid too?” She smirked.
“Oh yeah? Then I’m totally honored. Capture my good side.” She joked playfully, flipping her hair over her shoulder and posing in a exaggerated and dramatic manner before bursting into laughter. She adored spending time with the total hipster. “Not that I don’t look hella good in every photo you take. You get the best angles you know!”
She crossed her legs for a moment before looking at the other girl, getting up close and personal for a thorough examination, taking in just about everything on the girls face. “Hmm. Truth or dare?”
