This has been in the making ever since I started to use the name Helium End.
Originally, I imagined the Helium End as an orb that contained a solar system of an advanced human race. After the Helium End's creation, it floated in space landing on a planet of pre-tech humans. They worshipped it as a God and built a temple around the sacred artefact. Only those of pure mind and heart could go near the divine orb for the Dark Protector would destroy those who dare taint the Helium End. As time passed, the glow of the Helium End dimmed and the Dark Protector was no longer seen. The artefact became a subject of science, analysing and trying to determine the origins of the Helium End. In the meantime, with the rise of capitalism, the temple was turned into a museum as many people from around the planet flocked to see the orb.
The jewel at the centre is the Helium End, but it isn't. The Helium End is an orb after all, so let's delve into metaphors. The jewel in the middle is so to remember to always shine bright. For in light, there are ideas and inspiration. Nothing is created from darkness, only light can create darkness. The wings grow from the jewel and thus are the wings of light. They are there to protect but are in a position to be ready to fly. Flourishes of inspiration start from the ground but need to protection before they can fledge to higher worlds. The last symbol is the glowing tribal mark made of three broken circles that glows from the gem. A sign relating to the past influences and history.
