Self-care
1. Consciously teach yourself to relax, and practice relaxation as soon as you feel stressed.
2. Pay attention to what you eat and drink.
3. A warm shower or bath can help our muscles to relax, and can help ease the tension in our body and mind.
4. Talking with a person who accepts us as we are, is highly therapeutic, and enhances self-esteem.
5. Recognise that there are things that are outside our control – and there some situation that we simply cannot change.
6. Make an effort to establish a healthy work/ life balance. You need to make time for your hobbies, and to hang out with your friends.
7. Organise your time, and prioritise your tasks.
8. Recognise that you have limits and enforce your boundaries. If you live with too much pressure you will end up overwhelmed.
9. Keep a sense of humour, and laugh throughout the day.
10. Listen to the music that helps you to unwind.
Give them a sense of service and humility.
Attitudes and Mindsets that can Change your Life
1. Knowing deep inside that you are good enough.
2. Believing you can do it, and believing you can make it.
3. Choosing to be grateful when you feel like complaining.
4. Choosing to hang in there when you feel you’ve had enough.
5. Knowing each new day is a gift and fresh beginning.
6. Valuing others, and treating others well.
7. Investing in people instead of chasing things.
7 Tips for Overcoming Feelings of Inadequacy
1. Remind yourself that you are not who other people think or say you are.
2. Remind yourself that everybody makes mistakes at times, has areas of weakness, and things they want to change.
3. Remind yourself of ways in which you’ve grown and changed with time. You’re not who you once were - so celebrate how far you’ve come.
4. Also, the ending isn’t written and the future isn’t fixed. You’re free to change your image, and an old identity.
5. Identify the lies you have believed about yourself – and work on changing them so they’re accurate and true. Also, don’t reinforce the lies by acting like you think they’re true.
6. Remember that your feelings are not the same as facts. Don’t live based on your feelings as that will keep you trapped.
7. Hang out with those who see, and who appreciate, your worth. And take their words to heart, and let them help to build you up.
“You have to stop thinking you’ll be stuck in your situation forever. We feel like our heart will never heal or we’ll never get out of this impossible struggle. Don’t confuse a season for a lifetime. Even your trials have an expiration date. You will grow, life will change, and things will work out.”
— Brittney Moss

6. What 3 things do you need to change?
7. Who or what would help you to change?
“Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers,
but to be fearless in facing them.
Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain, but
for the heart to conquer it.”

“From the very beginning you are being told to compare yourself with others. This is the greatest disease. It is like a cancer that goes on destroying your very soul because each individual is unique, and comparison is not possible.”
