TO ALL THE LADIES OF THE KNIGHT AND ANYONE ELSE WHO IS A FAN OF GREYKNIGHTEROTICA:
As of this afternoon, I will no longer be listening to, or patronizing The Grey Knight.
I have always been a firm believer of speaking out through my wallet, and I encourage others to do so. That is why I feel it is my obligation to say why I will no longer be listening to him; so that others can make an informed decision when they give him money.
This afternoon he made a tweet (which he has since deleted) advocating the closure of all doctors’ practices not related to the treatment of Covid-19 (corona virus), including oncologists (doctors who diagnose and treat cancer patients).
I reacted to this, saying he was going too far. I deleted my response because I didn’t want to get into a debate over this, but he had already seen what I’d written, and responded in a PM.
This is the exchange which followed.
(To preface this: I have a a Bachelor’s in Bioethics, and a Master’s in Education. I do not currently work in either field, but I’m well versed in concepts like triage, and active eugenics, as well as when they are appropriate vs. when they have been used to justify atrocities.)
No person is worth less simply because they are sick. I am just as worthy of medical treatment as someone with no preexisting conditions, and I will keep fighting for my own life. I know that decisions will need to be made based on availability of doctors and nurses, as well as materials, but it’s not an all or nothing situation. To say that all people who are sick with anything other than Covid19 should be left to die is a horrible, disgusting thing. So, I can no longer, in good conscience, support Jack, The Grey Knight.
