I’m Maeve & I’m a kind of new simblr!

I had a blog previously for a couple of years but soon grew bored of it, so here I am again trying something new lol. You can probably expect CC and occasional edits, so if that sounds like your thing I’d really appreciate a follow (no pressure)!

Rocky Horror Picture Show Lookbook

This lookbook features most of the eccentric cast of Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). The cult classic follows newly engaged and innocent couple Janet (Susan Sarandon) and Brad (Barry Bostwick) who find themselves lost with a flat tire on a rainy night. Looking for a phone, the couple walks to a nearby castle where musical hijinks ensue.

The castle is hosting the ‘Annual Transylvanian Convention’ and they meet Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Jim Curry) and his household staff: Riff Raff (Richard O'Brien), Magenta (Patricia Quinn) and Columbia (Nell Campbell). Dr. Frank-N-Furter soon reveals he has discovered “the secret to life itself ” - his creation: a man  blonde hair, with a tan Rocky (Rayner Bourton). During the Rocky celebration, Eddie (Meatloaf) bursts out of the deep freeze on a motorcycle. I won’t ruin the rest of the movie if you haven’t seen it, but it is a ridiculous/scandalous time. 

The movie did not do well with critics initially, but it soon became a midnight movie in NYC in 1976. Actors dress as the cast act out the movie in front of the big screen, fans dress up, yell and throw things at appropriate times during the show. Midnight showings still happen all over and I went once in Santa Monica and Barry Bostwick was the special guest! There was also a pair of his movie tidy whities in plexiglass in the theatre lobby that he signed 😂

i’m meks. i’ve been playing the sims since i was a kid (castaway on psp = superior), but i’ve only decided to dabble into the community pretty recently. on this blog, i’ll be posting a mishmash of content; you can expect gameplay, edits, lookbooks, and rambles about my fics.

The more time Milly spent with Carina, the more she realised that maybe it wasn’t just friendship blossoming between the two of them... she’d begun to feel things she’d never dared to acknowledge before and decided to risk telling Carina how she felt. I think it’s safe to say the feeling is mutual. They went on their first date - they didn’t stop chatting and flirting, and Milly didn’t stop smiling - unfortunately she had to turn down the suggestion of taking things back to the bedroom... hopefully Carina understands.

Milly made a new friend! She was very excited to find another sim with the same level of enthusiasm for the outdoors as her, although Carina is less of a green thumb and more of a fisher.
