Two years ago I remember helping out a third year student with presenting her final exam. We where gluing her chairs together just minutes before the actual opening of the gallery. I remember telling myself that I would be done on time. I would be done on time and would have the opportunity to adjust small mistakes and think about details. This was not the case. I did it just the same way as she did. If it weren't for all the help I got from others I wouldn't make it on time. So big thanks to Kim Söderberg, Erik Pettersson Martin Altwegg, Karl Kronlund, Christopher Östman and my girlfriend Caroline Axell. I owe a big thanks to you:) You did so much by helping me out. Thank you! The opening was a success:)

Work work work

I'm working until midnight every day. Eating not regularly. Forgetting about bills, friends and girlfriend. Not healthy. But it will not go on for much longer. On Tuesday I will se an end of all this. My result will be presented in the schools gallery. I'm curious of how it will look like. I cant tell myself until I se if for myself. The culmination of all effort will be summoned. What will I present? What good does it do? I will tell: my process of work. not only the result of my interior pitch for Mellqvist but of how I got there. Background, values, target group, concepts, result. And the chandelier...:) Hopefully my presentation will tell of a competent designer.

"Pigtittaren" is standing ready for the inspection to come. Tomorrow morning, men in black suits, representing the authorities, the order of "know how" when it comes to fine carpentry will dissect every inch of our masterpiece: the Pigtittare. If "Pigtittaren" passes the test Marie Carlsson will be granted the fine award of journey"woman's" certificate. She will no longer be an apprentice. This is all off course good fun. A splendid charade of old times that keep tradition alive. And thumbs up for historical value and all that. But the mere fact that the English translation of "gesällbrev" is journeyMAN gives us a lesson of historical perspective. And also of perspective of today, since its still called that. Tomorrow Marie, our "Pigtittare" will grant you the journeyWOMAN´s certificate. Congratulations for a splendid performance resulting in a unique furniture that stands strong alone, just as you do:)

I was told: You are not an interior-designer. You are a furniture-designer. If you study furniture-design you can not call you're self a interior-designer. I agree on that. I do not wish to call myself an interior-designer. My field of study is furniture-design. And when I finish my thesis and graduate I can call my self a furniture-designer (if i like). Still my thesis is about me finding my tools and way of working, broadening my possibilities as a "designer". And by using my tools of design I got my self into doing interior design. On the 21 of May I will present my pitch of interior design to Mellqvist Kaffe bar, not being an interior-designer.

Interiour of Boho chic When entering the room you walk through the catwalk. There you are spotted and sometimes recognised. If friends are present you greet them and keep a small conversation. Perhaps even make yourself comfortable. If not you keep on. Walking towards the library you turn to the left, viewing the botanical garden. A highly lighten place with strong colours and fresh smell of herbs. Drips of water are dripping from the faucet. Someone has forgotten turn it properly;)

The story continues... My participation in Maria Larssons design gallery at ICFF will merely be through two of my pieces that I'm sending her as I'm writing this. Due to my lack of time I sadly had to decline her fine offer. With would be to make an art piece ( http://www.formgiving.com/Shrine-of-nature ) in her galley and exhibit it there during the furniture fair. As for now I'm glad to be able to show birdsnest and 4 st ägg in New York hoping for them to cause some ruckus;) One who will be going there is Julia Nielsen ( http://juliagamborgnielsen.com/ ) exhibiting a lovely chair.
