Having a "sleeper hit" blorbo is such a weird experience

Especially when you rethink about the window of time between when you first know (and feel indifferent) about them. to the Watershed Moment when they actually become the blorbo.

This is the first time that scar and bdubs physically met.

This is gonna make me sob.

They're such a iconic and funny friends duo, for years. And now they are in the same room (!?).

These past weeks or 2, ive been imagining this AU with aviator Jimmy (I just thought Jimmy would look cute to draw in that outfit - the brown leather jacket, googles, aviator cap, scarf, all that stuff).

His plane is yellow and he nicknames it the Canary or something.

He works for a big newspaper / magazine company in Manhattan, and he's its most valuable employee because he flies to places to take photos onsite (rare bonus-skillset for a journalist in the 1920s).

He goes on a solo trans-oceanic flight. But things don't go to plan and he has to ditch his low fuel plane and parachutes into the sea, and blacks out.

He wakes up on the beach of a remote island, and it turns out this weird sea creature rescued him. He's freaked out at first, but over the next few days, the mermaid (Scott) catches crabs and fish for him to eat.

But its been 2 days and Jimmy is slowly weakening because he can't sustain on crab meat + fish and coconut water forever.

But then a navy boat finds and rescues him, but in doing so they also come across the mermaid, and capture it. While his employer is hyped because discovery of merpeople would be the biggest scoop of the year.

So now, Jimmy is like, very morally conflicted. He must save Scott. Even if this means going against his employer?

So I got to a stopping point on my ethubs project (i lost steam of continuing it) that I yapped about a month ago. I guess I can now tell what its about.

Bdubs is basically a talking tree. Only etho understands him.

It started out as a way for me to practice doing scenery art (bc i ought to stop using mc overworld screenshots for my art backgrounds).

But things got carried away and it evolved into this doomed, tragic, old-men ethubs plot. Of a now-elderly etho in his garden, trying to regrow a tree from the sole surviving acorn left behind from his long-gone Treedubs after a forest fire. until he himself passes away (and gets reincarnated as a sapling next to the said new tree).

Draft art, including:

scraped version of acorn in ethos palm (didn't feel like actual old person hands)

2 old versions of sleeping bearded, elderly treedubs in the snowy night

old versions of the 2 last panels, which were supposed to have ethos grave (but I felt that was too un-subtle)

It's been a while since I posted. but I'm back now.

With all the concept art I've done since that onshot bdubs AU I spoke about.

Bdubs is a tree. Etho is a park employee. (update: changed some design choices with treedubs, and made it 2 images per row)

These past few days ago, I got this bonkers idea for a one-shot AU comic about Ethubs, and have been sketching concept art and parts about it over the weekend. I won't go into details about it until I finish it up, but it may be my main focus for the next weeks til I get it done-ish.

Being the only hermitcraft/life series fan in your friends group is crazy sometimes. Because id regularly show them my fanart while its WIP (for peer review of course) and they have legit 0 context of anything going on. And I just witness the gears turning in their head

"What scene from Naruto is this from? Why is Kakashi an octopus? / dalmatian? / robot?" (I keep creechur-ifying etho in my art)

"He looks like super mario" (HC Season 10 fisherman grian)

"Why is this man made of blue water" (Jevin)

"Why do you keep drawing art of this same blonde guy? Why is he like, always injured and in unlucky situations? " (That's the main blorbo Jimmy Solidaritygaming!! )

Hehe, thank you! Im glad you like it. Maybe down the line, I'll revisit this AU, but currently I don't have any followup art planned. Im ok with others doing their own stuff with the priest Jimmy concept.

2025 in Review

[Note: I'm organizing these by the month I started working on them, not the month I posted them. Which is why my top-post (that comic of jimmy's graves) isn't on here since I started that in like, 2023]

Happy (late) New Year!

Its been a year since I decided to get active online in sharing my art. I wanna give thanks for the love given to my art since. It means alot, I still am a very private person, and don't have a lot of friends irl who are also into hermitcraft / life series. So sharing my art to here is my main (even only) outlet to this fanbase.

2026 Resolutions

Whats next? If I'm fortunate in having enough free time to draw in 2026 as I had in 2025, i'd probably do these things:

Working on the Last Prince AU: I still want to do things with my Jimmy-centric Last Prince AU, since is likely my main recurring AU. Now that the life series (my usual source of content for jimmy fan-art) is going on hiatus, I (being a Jimmy-centric fan-artist) may in fact have to dive into this.

Expanding on "one-shot" AU's: I know I have a bad habit of coming up with one shot au's thats fun to draw, but with no follow-up art bc my brain gets bored easily, but looking back there are some stuff that seems fun to do sequels on, like BeaverDubs.

Doing (any sort of) paranormal AU: any sort of found footage AU where there's a paranormal entity in the life series / hermitcraft (like herobrine in past life smp) or the hermits act like a paranormal entity (either watcher grian or clown joel).

Getting better at blender3d: this is a recurrent new years resolution for me.

Probably more art outside of MCYT, even OC art: When I started to get active posting my art online, I mostly planned to sticking to just Hermitcraft & Life Series, but now, I'm thinking of sharing more of the other fanart I do (Like Mario), or even OC Art.
