The otherâs behavior was off-putting in a way that was more than just slight and uncomfortable. Quinn had to quietly wonder exactly what she was walking right on into but sheâd learned to adapt and to find the path that she needed to take no matter if she were in some city jungle or off the far silent depths of the woods. She also knew well not to be too quick to judge what she was presented with in the brief span of actually meeting Jinx, but the other woman seemed to be a walking unstable variable and a dangerous one at that.
Though she did not express all that much outwardly, the ranger was very aware of those things at least. The ranger understood, flicking her gaze towards those âfriendsâ thatâd had her curious interest, that her very presence was certainly being tolerated. And perhaps she should use far more caution when slipping into the crevices of even the upper parts of the cities.
âQuinn,â she reminded the other again. Patiently. Jinxâs stare was met as evenly as possible despite a bit of a chill even slithering down the Demacianâs spine. If she were to be honest with herself, the offer was already immediately tempting. Her entire venture through parts of Piltover and Zaun had been trial and error of navigating through a place that was incredibly strange. A place that harnessed an energy that she had so many misconceptions of. There were already so many advantages to be seen and few disadvantages for Quinn to predictably consider right then.
âI help you get some things you need. You help me stay out of sight for a bit.â She sucked on her teeth a moment as she reiterated their terms, dragging out her thinking. Then looked around the room more before finally sighing.
âPoison, was it? Is that the sort of thing youâll have me looking for? If you send me hounding for things that pose too much risk to get, it wonât be worth even a good spot to stay.â Some guiding information about the cities, though â and hiding out with one of the greatest determined threats present instead of having to avoid them entirely. Those things had their own value and Quinn came to the conclusion that she could shake herself free of Jinx when the time came.
âBut the right amount of risk, yes. I think we could make that work fairly.â Even if she was opposed to helping and opposed to the idea of the other woman ever being involved in what she was doing. Sometimes unconventional methods yielded better results than Quinn often anticipated. âYou seem. Nice. Yourself, not sending me back out the way Iâve come with one of your friends. Where are you leaving this place for, and what things are you needing?â
â â oh come ON . weâre kind of like what . BESTIES by now ? ya can easen up âround me you silly pants . we got ourselves quite a deal right here , might as well enjoy every single second of it . donâtcha think ? i donât know , what do gal pals do these days ? â â
the troublemakerâs expression shifted into a mischievous smirk before she stood up from the chair , her tone indicated that she did not expect any answer , and was being rather sarcastic about the whole thing . a quick glance was thrown at the other before she extended her right arm , which was filled with her tattoos and was covered with some remnants of oil from past projects . a handshake was what people usually did when these things took place , right ? completely useless . but why the hell not ?
as soon as that was done with , the bluette basically HOPPED over to the table where piranha lay . it was meant to be a deadlier , more subtle variation to her flame chompers - it would still stick into their victim , injecting a powerful poison , depending on the type that is equipped . she would probably make variations to the variations - that could add up a little SPICE to the whole thing .
â â donât ya worry . youâll be just a distraction - iâll do all the dirty job . see - people âround here know quite a bit âbout my looks and stuff . i gotta admit i KINDA brought it upon myself by making those posters scattered all over the place . i mean , itâs not like i REGRET it or anything , really - it does make it kinda ⌠intense . but maaan , when youâre out of money and gotta BORROW something , they all get super paranoic and stuff whenever they even see a HINT of blue . you should see the LOOK on their faces . HAH ! â â
she began packing the tools , blueprints and the unfinished project as she spoke , putting them gently inside what appeared to be an old vintage canvas with a bunch of pins and stitches on it . it was useful to carry around . as she finished up , she moved the table towards one of the walls and covered with some rags that laid around on the floor .
â â i know a guy - he has some quality stuff that heâs been tryina sell for like SO FUCKING MUCH down in some nasty shop . you know if heâd been a cool dude to me i might have actually done somethinâ for him in return but he just KICKED me out the other day . he has some experimental poison that iâve been DYING to try on , so - weâre gonna steal it . i just need ya to disctract him while i sneak from the back , get the stuff , then hop back out . easy peasy . â â
the girl finally stood straight now in front of the other and put her hands on her hips as she gave out a sigh . there was a small , almost innocent smile on her face as she faced the other now . she raised an eyebrow and spoke . â â so , youâre in or nah ? â â
