It's been challenging
As a (co)Founder, I have learnt a few things, many of them the hard way. We started this journey in 2019. I very quickly learnt that promises made are not worth their weight unless the money is in the account. We had a great many promise us money, funding whatever word you want to use. None of it came in. I began to doubt myself. Was it me they had no faith in? Was it the idea? What was it? I strongly believe that it was me. A little self-centred thinking? Probably. However, the simple fact is that as the CEO/Co-Founder, much of it comes down to me. I'm the first one to say that I didn't know what I was doing. I had businesses before that but not at this scale.
Do I know what I'm doing now? Probably not. There are books, there are coaches, there are all sorts of people that will tell you they can help. The fact is that they can, to a point. After which it still comes down to the person at the very top.
I want to believe I made all the right choices. All the best decisions. I did. With the information I had at the time. Would I make the same decision today? I genuinely don't know. Today, we are looking for funding. We need to grow to meet the demand, cybersecurity is crucial for organisations. We help secure your (data) vault, not just your doors/gates. I own my screw ups. It's humbling. The thing is, despite the missteps, despite the errors, we are still here. We are growing. We are still looking for investors. #ceo#funding#money#cybersecurity#people#data#help
