UPDATE
I know I neglect this blog sometimes, but I'm determined to get super active (no pun intended) over the summer. I graduate from uni in July and I'm determined to lose as much weight as possible between the start of May and then. I could use as much motivation as possible so please join me on my weight loss journey!!

Hi. This is me. No I was not perfect.
I was perfect in the same way HAES people say they’re fat and healthy. I didn’t have issues with my blood pressure, all of my blood work was consistently fine, and I wasn’t on any kind of medication for anything.
What I did have though was sciatic pain so bad I couldn’t get off the couch some days. I couldn’t walk up the one flight of stairs in my house without getting out of breath. I was constantly a burden to my friends making them stop walking while we were out in the city because my feet hurt and I needed to catch my breath. I couldn’t stand for more than 15 minutes to do the dishes because my back would hurt so bad I was in tears. And then there’s the part where I currently need surgery on my ankle to repair the cartilage damage from 20 years of being fat.
I’ve lurked around and saw people say that they have similar issues but it’s not because of their weight and they get all upset when a doctor suggests they lose a few. Let me tell you, after going from morbidly obese to a normal weight I don’t have any of those problems anymore. I am, however, dealing with the consequences of my actions by needing to repair the damage I did to my own body.
I’m neeeever going to fall for the “We’re all perfect and beautiful and healthy” crap. I know how I felt before and I know how I feel now and I feel AMAZING finally being a healthy normal weight
