Cath had followed his lead without any objections, feeling relieved with the knowledge that Raidou was unharmed and willing to have a calm conversation about had what happened. Unfortunately, the same couldnât quite be said about the cat-shaped menace that had followed them to the couch and promptly began his quite hostile-sounding interrogation. One would think that after all those times they had all spent together heâd spare Cath some better treatment, but, considering his earlier behaviour already, it might have been foolish to assume such.
âDonât worry, I will - but not to you.â She had returned Goutoâs glare in kind, her expression only softening again now that she turned to address Raidou once more. âIâll explain everything to you, I promise. But⊠I came here to talk to you. Not him.â She sighed. âPlease. Itâs hard enough without his accusations already.â
It seemed that a moment of peace between them would have been far too much to ask for. He should have known that Gouto would react accordingly and lead straight into this tension, despite all of the time they have spent together. The tail of said feline twitched to and fro in response to Cathâs words, his body language showing off his upset state in high contrast to Raidouâs calm and collected one. It was obvious there was something of a retort waiting to be unleashed from his tongue, but certain words had brought his attention.
â...Gouto, please.â A single plead to his mentor spoken, with all due respect, hoping heâd take it into account and hold his thoughts for the moment. There was no need for this to get out of hand, certainly Cath would explain everything when she can-- peace and understanding needing to be maintained. The detective comes to address her as well, a nod of agreement given followed with his support, âWhenever you feel you are ready.â
