Saw these mushrooms today at the base of a tree. They were the size of dinner plates. The one I the right reminds me of a stingray and the other one a funny clam shell. Nature on land imitating nature in the ocean. I need to study mushrooms that are wild and safe to eat. Slow cooking with organic stew meat and loads of fresh vegetables. I added some organic apple cider vinegar (tenderizes beef and neutralizes it), miso and beef broth plus a little brown sugar and ginger powder. Threw in some fresh cloves of garlic and cilantro. It simmered all day into a delightful hearty broth stew. My one pan delight of fish gumbo with 3 kinds of gluten free pasta. It has fresh tomatoes, peppers, onions, pineapple salsa, mushrooms, spring greens, organic corn, sliced water chestnuts and Trader Joe's fish combo (shrimp, scallops and calamari- frozen seafood blend 2 bags). I steamed up wild rice in organic beef broth for a little extra side dish of complex carbs. What kind of lichen voodoo do you do? We need some heavy fortification on this sorry debate night, now don't we?! So I made my version of Sloppy Joe. Started with some Allen Stone music, then heated sauce pan for onions, pepper and garlic. Then 1 pound of organic beef and sauté the pile together. I add apple cider vinegar to neutralize the acid of the beef and also a couple of tablespoons of honey. Season to taste. I add some sea salt, cilantro, a couple of tablespoons of salsa, smoked paprika, ketchup, and 1/3 cup of beef broth. For added color and more fiber I added a can of kidney beans and frozen organic corn. Added some spring greens too and mushrooms. Sauté and gently blend while simmering. Pour over a taco or whatever you like.
