Derek faltered, then shook his head. His mistrust for the Elders was too great to even justify keeping up a front. âI talked to Addison,â he offered, gesturing with his head vaguely. âShe gave me some advice, but drawing pictures doesnât really help me.â
âWhy donât you try a silencing spell.â He suggested, averting his eyes away from his book and towards Derek. His parents had done it to him during his pre-teen years. He had no sense of control and the Elders wouldnât have him causing havoc in their halls.Â
