Selphia has kept up with old traditions well considering the years. Some of my favorites have disappeared, but no matter, some newer, amusing ones have popped up. She would have loved the gifting days. ...I wonder how many holidays she spent on her own. Did she find someone to keep her company? Did she continue to sing for the village every year after I left her behind? It’d be a crime if she didn’t. Her voice was the core of the spirit during celebrations. It’s never the same now, no matter how I try each year. I suppose it’s right, though. This is how it should be. I should... suggest caroling to Meg sometime. Perhaps she’s heard the song before. If only I remembered the name... No sign of it in Arthur’s old books yet. Ah, that reminds me, I need to pay Forte a visit. Stories about the old ghosts that show up around the holidays won’t spread themselves. Unless I tell Kiel first. He takes the bait every time, poor kid, much like- Like her.

I hope she kept singing. It’s my fault for not sticking around to ensure it.

Leon sat curled up by a fire in a hidden cabin in the forest, he hated snow, and he hated having wet snow thrown at him even more. Considering his track record with pranks, hiding was the best option on this day.

But karma always finds Leon.

He got hit once, twice, thre- no even more were coming. The snowballs were especially wet too. He let out a screech at suddenly being soaked an bruised, and turned to find the assailant. All he found was an open window, and darkness outside. He shook as much of the wetness off him as he could while he slammed the window shut. “I hate the winter,” he muttered under his breath as he found a towel to dry off with. Hopefully no one else would find him.

Sitting on Frey’s nightstand is a cutely wrapped in purple gift. Inside is a hand carved wooden Wooly. It’s been painted so it has green fur and a princess crown on top, obviously meant to be a Wooly version of Frey. There’s a note written in cursive handwriting, “Frey, Keep up the good work. And I’ll keep distracting you the best that I can. -Leon”

Despite the joy Leon felt in response to the villager’s reaction to his wrapping prank (even after he’d been told to clean it all up), he’d seen enough of the stuff to last him a few years, and the sight of more wrapping paper left a disgusted expression on Leon’s face. Despite this, he dutifully put the three pack in his small closet. The prank was definitely worth repeating at some point, and with Jasper’s help, it’d be yet another success to write down. The fields would be his starting point.
