while we're on the topic of obelisks I think it's very cool how their statue forms can be all sorts of different materials based on the dragon's element/personality it's so fun like oooh does your oc turn to obsidian do they turn to sandstone there are so many possibilities so much cool symbolism to ponder..... however if I was an obelisk who turns to like limestone or something and I met a guy whose statue form was Solid Fucking Diamond? I would be sooo mad. I'd be pissed I'd be plotting that motherfucker's demise every second of every day

If you want access to all Creative Cloud software, do NOT look into GenP on Reddit and do NOT look up a how-to guide on YouTube, to aid you in setting it up. It is NOT easy as piss. Adobe definitely deserves your hard earned money actually, as they are very ethical in the way they treat their costumers.

flight rising things to never say out of context, exhibit A:

ok so this started because, the thing about dusthides is that they have a very cool thing going on with their wing, where the secondary is only visible on the underside of the wing and not the top. unfortunately, only one pose (F) shows this off at all, so I wondered if the M pose could be altered to show the back wing to emphasize that trait. and also i thought it would be cool if the secondary was also on the underside of the plating, which i then had to add more of, and then also i had to draw the F pose to see if i could reposition the tail to show off THAT attribute. and then since i was drawing them ANYWAY i just redesigned some other things. for fun. i dont think i did it super great but it was a fun exercise!!

I feel this is a good time to remind people that the staff of most pet sites (or gaming sites in general) do *not* want to ban players.  Players are how they make their money. They don’t want to have their site gain a reputation of banning people for anything, which makes people less likely to sign up and/or buy their premium currency/items.

Also, with the number of players on sites like FR, staff isn’t going to go through each account individually to look for behavior against the site rules.  They likely have tools that will flag suspicious behavior then go through and look at each report individually.  They also likely rely on players reporting others (or reporting themselves).  

This isn’t to say that people aren’t banned unfairly, but rather that the majority of players aren’t.  Including those who publicly state that they were banned unfairly.

people saying FR staff have terrible communication is kind of starting to piss me off 😭 we were told ON SITE that sandsurges would be gem breeds. if you didn't read that, that's on you, not with devs failing to communicate the way this breed release would pan out. they quite literally posted an essay the other day just to reflect on what the refactor meant for them and the site. it's like the people saying FR staff are ableist for expecting people to read their news posts have never played an actually bad petsite with in their lives

the communication on this site is great and has been getting steadily better for the past few years. I think some of you need to experience the joys (?) of playing petsites where none of the staff have logged on for 6 years or where the admins actively cuss out and publicly embarrass people they don't like in the forums. there are actual games where it IS a corporate entity pumping out content just for money instead of a team of a handful of people running a petsite for a decade

agreed, I’ve never seen anyone quite like the fr staff, who goes out of their way to give notices to players, address our concerns, prioritize accessibility et cetera. The thing is, FR could be a game where premium currency is difficult to get, where you have to pay real money to access exclusive content or obtain a particular item, where the staff’s main goal for every new release is geared towards getting money from players. 

But FR is not, and the staff continues to give us free quality content at the expense of their time, energy, and resources. you want gems? achievement system, keeping your well fed bonus, selling items on the AH, exalting - there are so many ways to get premium currency. the idea that people consider the new breed “locked behind a paywall” just communicates to me that they’ve never actually encountered a real paywall >.>
