Akari wanted to shake her head--her son was right. As painful as it was to accept. She took her time with approaching the boy closer, trying not to lean too much of her weight on him. "Mama and Papa... they did not want me to marry..." She wanted to leave it at that, but that was far form the truth. "...Someone like your papa. He is... not like those in Wutai."
Vincent watched as his mother approached, unsure what he should feel in that moment. He hadn’t expected to uncover something like this and he was young enough that the concept was a mystery to him. After all, why did it matter if his father wasn’t like the people in Wutai?
“Is that a bad thing?” He asked, unable to grasp what the importance of that all was. “You didn’t think it was a bad thing so why would they think so?”
