Hello everyone! I have been M.I.A since the start of this academic year, I barely had the time to blog about my life events and I know I lost some readers but I thank those who still visit my blog, I really appreciate you guys. Anyways, now that I’m still on Christmas Vacation I finally have time to update my blog. Here’s Ten Things I’ve Learned in 2017. This year I realized that change is inevitable. Change is everywhere. And to be honest, before, I hate change, especially those last minute changes, I just hate it when you have to change everything that you have prepared and put an effort. But when I became exposed to different kind of people especially those who cram in a group project I learned that I need to accept and be open for some changes. Because hey, I cannot change them, I have no other choice but to deal with them. I still have a true friend in this world and although I cannot talk to her all the time because of our busy sched at least I know that she’s there and vice versa (me to her). It just feel so good to have someone you can be your truest self with because you know they won’t judge you. It’s good to be alone for a while. I get to know more myself every time I spend some time alone whether it is in a salon, having a coffee, or reading a book. I get to know more myself. I also got to learn about my thoughts. The ones that I do not want to face and tend to avoid almost every time it start to bother me. We do not need to give our thoughts too much power, your thoughts should not control you because you are the one who is in control of your own thoughts, this is what I've learned in the book Turtles All The Way Down by John Green. I learned to spend some time with the people close to me. I learned to reach out to those high school friends who still have a place in my heart for I can also feel their sincerity towards me. I learned to stop putting pressure on myself. I learned that only time will tell if this one thing (law school) is really for me since my parents kept on encouraging me to enter LS after I graduate psych. Before the year ends I learned to focus on what matters as of now which is my course and learned how to make the most of it since this is what I want in the first place, this is where my heart belongs. I also came to realize that everything will workout in the end if that one thing is really for me, and in God’s perfect time. There are tons of guys who just wants to be with you for a short period of time and I believe that I made the right choice, my mindset even before I enter college was to focus on my studies first because boys are just around te corner, if he's the right man for me, I believe that he will respect my decision. And not just that, but also my top priority today is myself and not other people a.k.a boys. Self-love must come first. Having a big heart is not a sign of weakness but it is a superpower. Everybody seems to be cruel with one another and I learned that you can start change in this world by doing it yourself to your neighbor. In my experience of being damaged, I learned how important it is to be kind to other people because you never know what might be going on in that person’s life. You do not need to always give comments on what other people are saying. If you do not agree with what they are saying I learned that it is completely okay to stand up for what you believe in, but it is also very important to respect their opinion and sometimes just let silence be your response. I learned that it is okay to be sad because your thoughts are valid. You are valid. You are smart. You are beautiful. And you deserve the world.
