i. she never found anyone to match her heartbeat with their footsteps. she searched the seven seas before coming back empty-handed. there had to be something wrong with her. ii. everyone around her started to find strength in pairs. her world was filled with roses and teddy bears and sickeningly sweet nicknames that never came her way. she was the odd one out. iii. love was never something that would be hers. she wanted it as much as the sun wants to set. she was content. iv. no single heartbeat could compare to the laughter of her siblings. the feeling of a hand that fit perfectly in hers couldn’t hold a candle to the happiness in her friends’ eyes. this was all the love she needed.

1. Write down everything you’re feeling and when you’re upset in the future, go back and read how far you’ve come. 2. A new hairstyle can do wonders to your self confidence. 3. Remember to appreciate yourself. You’ve been through a lot. Go out and buy those shoes you’ve been wanting for months. 4. I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, your friends love you ten times more than any boy could. 5. Never ever ever stalk his social media. You’re basically forcing yourself to remember what you should be trying to forget. And honestly, who gives a fuck what he’s doing. He’s just a stupid boy trying to forget as well. 6. Dress the best on your worst days. Preferably black. 7. The roles reverse in a matter of time. He’ll be sad, but only after he went out and experimented with someone new. By that time, you’ll no longer give a fuck about him. 8. He doesn’t deserve you. It’s safe to assume he’s an asshole, because majority of guys are assholes. You don’t deserve an asshole. 9. It’s okay how you choose to drown your sadness. Just make sure it won’t kill you. 10. School is important. Don’t flunk out because you’re too busy crying over a boy who won’t matter in a year. (I promise, he will not matter in a year.) 11. It gets easier everyday. And even on a bad day, you’re improving. 12. Don’t wait around in hope he’ll talk to you. He’s not going to. He fell in love with you because you were confident, beautiful, and full of life. He doesn’t want a pathetic girl who cries herself to sleep every night. Show him what he’s missing by moving on with your life. 13. Everyone goes through a break up. Your parents, friends, sisters, even brothers. We all understand it’s hard. Talk to someone. 14. “You can’t be fixed by the same person who broke you.”
