This is so sad.  People with talent are not allowed to win because they happen to be friends with someone?  As someone who entered a sculpted pony (and didn’t win) I challenge you to explain exactly how that was not a custom designed pony.   It was an amazing piece of work that took time and effort.  This really is such horrible sour grapes.

Second hour of PI being down. I can't help thinking of all those people claiming that "PI will be fine without a coder for years, it doesn't need a coder to run anyway." Where are they and what are they doing now?

Anon - This is dumb and you should feel dumb.  It is common knowledge that this downtime was caused by Rackspace.  It has nothing to do with PonyIsland.  Multiple websites were down because of Rackspace.  Rackspace.  Not PonyIsland.  This has nothing to do with PI, nor does it have to do with PI’s coder, who is still around, btw.   Quit playing chicken little.  

In case you are unaware, Anon, you can keep up to date on any down time at the LSPP Backup boards:  http://lspp.proboards.com/  The people there are very good with getting in touch with the powers that be, so they can figure out what, exactly, is going on.

anybody else ever notice that rekka usually only likes rules when they're in her favor? remember that argument about the pb members being able to enter the art contests? she didn't have a problem entering when she was on staff, but then claimed unfairness once she had been kicked out of the pb

Man.. it really sucks when suddenly you’re thrown into the group that open-season has been declared on.  Not such a great feeling, I’m sure.  Though I do have to ponder why rekkanator thinks that this, only now, is tearing apart the community.. yet it certainly wasn’t before.  The whole ‘shoe on the other foot’ thing, I suppose.

I’ve gotta say, I’m finding this new rule on ponyislandburnbook to be most amusing.

I’d appreciate it if you didn’t try to reword things. When I refer to “things tearing apart the community”, I mean the community ripping into each other and you know that real well, I’m sure. Because there’s no other target at the moment. Nothing on PI to discuss. So let me clear up a few things:

Primary objective: Criticizing the current status of the game and its management. Pressing for transparency, and letting others know that you CAN voice your concerns.

Things that are NOT objectives of mine: Slamming other users. Not even staff. There are plenty I don’t care for, but I am not going to name and shame them.

Things I have done which may be perceived as slamming other users: Disagreeing with them, not understanding why they can handwave the site’s issues, posting criticisms of their arguments.

It feels like you guys are attributing various burn book posts to me, and various posts by other users, that I did not make myself. 

You’ll notice that I’ve not petitioned Burn Book Admin to take down that post, and neither do I intend to. The post is referring to something I did once no longer on the team (also, have I ever publicly said “was kicked out”, or are you drawing from confidential, inside knowledge, OP?), and I don’t think that technically flies.

I am reasonably sure this whole OP is a reference to my Tumblr fight with is-chimera in 2012 or thereabouts. I could dig around for the posts in my Tumblr, probably. Point is, the argument happened once I’d left. What’s being said here isn’t a criticism of my current service (or lack thereof), and doesn’t even have anything to do with whatever their problem is with me now.

It’s just someone who can’t forget about the incident, and wasn’t even willing to try to talk to me privately and ask me to tone it down, or explain that it hurt them. Let it remain, and let it be.

i think its a riot that there are proud staff members who have no qualms about telling an entire group of users who disagree with them to get off of pi but somehow theyre allowed to remain in a station of power where theyre expected to be impartial. makes me wonder if strava will be rigged like the other anons said. these people shouldnt be allowed to keep their job. congrats youre representing your site with the utmost professionalism!

This has come up before, and I always have to shake my head.  People still use the CatFights to vent about what they don’t like on PonyIsland.  That hasn’t changed.  That will never change.    

I think you’re mistaking peoples opinions for salivating fangirling.   Make no mistake, VeeZ is not off limits.  She’s not a higher power who should have her ass kissed.   She simply is, in this case, someone who people don’t believe deserves the intense level of harassment and shaming that certain people have put her through.   So yes, people are going to defend her, just like we do when we see anyone getting that level of crap for no reason, right up until she does something the people don’t agree with.   Then, like anyone else, it’s open season.

The CatFights isn’t for everyone, but if you (Anonymous) are really concerned about the fate of the CF and how it’s being used you can certain come and voice your opinion.

feels like people saying they're totally happy with PI as is are trolling their faces off because how does anybody excuse the fact that we're still in beta literally over a year after ponyisland was updated i mean really give it a rest. theres slow service and then there's bullshit. i dont know how anyone hasnt detected that there's something horribly wrong with both pi and the excuse v keeps throwing out. ignorance is bliss? desperation? idk.

I’m one of these people.  I have been on PonyIsland since the very beginning.  I have seen good service and bad service.  I’ve still yet to suffer slow service, I’m okay with the communication level and what we’re being told.  I, quite literally, have zero issues with what is going on in PonyIsland (other than the intense negativity that certain players feel they have to vomit out over and over again).   Perhaps it’s because I’ve been around for so long?   Perhaps it’s because I’ve been around other places (such as Furcadia) which have been around much longer and haven’t updated as quickly as people like?   Maybe I’m just a bit more laid back than the anonymous submitter.  Either way, I don’t believe that people who are happy with PI are trolling, because I’m certainly not.    We’re simply not as desperate to jump on the ‘hate everything’ bandwagon.   I understand why people are upset, I simply don’t agree with them.
