      no mind paid to the hush that falls over the bar   —   it’s not that she’s oblivious, she simply doesn’t care. she’s here to do a job, that’s all. succubus floats over at his beckon, greeting him with her trademark pearly smile and pleasant   “ i need your tips! ”   tone.

               ❝   i sure can.   ❞   maybe he’s not one for a whole lotta small talk, which sucks, seeing as nearly everyone else had fled the bar in fear. he’s not the first vampire at the club, so she doesn’t get why they   —   and it’s just hit her why he ordered a bloody mary. she snickers quietly to herself as she scurries off to make his drink.

       it’s not at all long later before she’s back and setting the glass in front of him. bloody marys were never her thing   —   she was a bigger fan of fruity cocktails when she was out on the town, but she won’t judge.

                    randy     exuberates     power     as     he     sits     down          ,          taking     the     farthest     stool     from     the     front   .          (          he     catches     a     couple     others     moving     their     seats     down     in     the     opposite     direction   .     it     brings     a     small     smile     to     his     lips   .          )          his     posture     is     good          ,          if     not     a     little     too     stiff     to     look     quite     natural   .     the     image     is     almost    certainly     intentional   .     is     it     going     to     work     on     this     never     ---     before     ---     seen     employee          ?          time     to     find     out   .     he     gestures     for     her          ,          gaze     betraying     nothing   .           “          evening   .          ”          chivalry     isn’t     dead   .          “          can     you     make     a     bloody     mary          ?          ”
