Hey, so I gained a couple new followers lately!

So let me explain what I am creating besides Dark Souls Art c:

I am creating a video game called: Obsidian Legion.

We are a two person team (artist and programmer) and we have been working at it, full time, for almost 5 years!

It is a labour of love, heavily inspired by the likes of Dark Souls, Metroid, and even fighting games!

The game will be heavily focused on exploration and combat, call it a "souls-vania" if you like!

You will be exploring an isle engulfed in the turmoil of war and try to survive while gaining the items abilities to best your foes.

As the sole illustrator and animator on the project, I have tried to design the visuals of its assets based on my own illustrative art style. I must also say I am quite lucky to have partnered with a programmer who is somehow of a special effects wizard as well!

Just writing this little message to let you all know that I am still alive and work on Obsidian Legion is continuing at a steady pace! We are taking an extended break from social media, but we absolutely intend to come back once we have some new stuff to show. cheers!

Hey, I just finished my second Elden Ring piece! (First one is right here if you have not seen it) I just fell in love with this magnificent vista when you first arrive to Liurnia of the Lakes and I think it conveys perfectly the feeling of awe you get when exploring a new region of the lands between.

15 seconds of Obsidian Legion, a game made by a tiny team of two people!

Happy third anniversary, Elden Ring! And here is the illustration I created to commemorate that! I actually just finished the base game, and I have plenty of ideas I would like to explore for future illustrations, but I hope you will like this one!

Flaming projectiles and crumbling towers!

Big troubles deep inside the nest! This underground biome has been on the backburner for a while now. We just finished designing its mobs and we are very happy how it turns out, enough to show it to you people! :D

I think I have never shown my process for making my Bloodborne piece, so I took time to create this gif this morning! I prefer not to record myself drawing because I don't draw at a steady pace when making these large illustrations and it would result with 25 hrs + of footage which I don't want to bother editing.

However, I like to take screencaps at different steps of the creation process which allows me to make these gifs. In this case, this illustration was especially long to create. If I recall, I spent at least 40 hrs on it because of all details in the architecture. Plus I was not really sure where I was going with the framing at the early stages and I think in reflects in this gif. I like working in photoshop because it easily allows me to come back and make color adjustments or add fog in between the layers. In this case, the render was a bit too dark, so I lightened it up at the end to make easier to read and give those colors a lovely boost.

Anyway, that's about it! Also, I have never thought to offer it, but if anyone has question about the technique I use to make my artwork, I would be really happy to answer them. Cheers!
