Franklin County Board of Education Meeting Update and Interview with Lisa Rung. Anger over a permit issued last December for a Gay Straight Alliance Club at Franklin County High School is clouding a substantial effort by Director of Schools Dr. Amie Lonas to reorganize the Central Office and cut up to $250,000 annually. A group organized to oppose the club under the name Mass Resistance have flooded board members emails. One option to get rid of the club is to rewrite the Board's Equal Access Policy that would prohibit any public use of school property. Like Pee Wee Football and other events at the former FCHS Football Stadium, track and field house. Monday the board meets again at the FCHS Auditorium where another 400 or more people will gather with banners and flags to echo last month's meeting. The Buzz has this Special Report.
