The first one I made this a whiiiile ago and forgot to post it. One of my head canons: Adult Varian as Royal Advisor.

The second one is a remake since I found the first one too plane and simple. Also added a background.

This are Varian and Hugo in their early twenties in which Varian has been promoted to Queen Rapunzel's Royal Advisor.

He still manages the Eternal Library with Hugo, but Hugo is the new Royal Engineer/ Alchemist. Varian still does Alchemy and helps Hugo in his free time.

I know it was part of his takeover but since then, I've always thought that Varian would be the perfect Royal Advisor for Rapunzel. He is: a genius, a strategist, realistic and, creative. Being from Old Corona he would not be classist like Nigel was and would also give the people of Old Corona someone to stand for them, besides Quirin. His past would incline him to give people chances and also the opportunity to be listen to.

His justice and advice would be faif but most importantly, as a close friend to the Queen, Varian would talk Rapunzel out of her negligence or ill decisions, would teach her priority and would remind her to fulfill her promise...

So... What you have in mind?

Wow! It's been months (last year lol) since I posted something. Here I made a redrawn of a scene, how I think it should have been...

Varian taller than Rapunzel, with at least a little faded facial hair and not so slim. For God's sake he is almost 16!! A bit more body measures because I head cannon Varian being really strong. He works with steel and other metals regularly, he carried (even if it was in a wheelbarrow) the automaton parts to the castle, the boilers, he carried the Queen, etc. I love his goofy face but I brought it down a little so he looks somewhat more mature.

Do you think Disney did our boy wrong for not fiscally aging him enough?
