sticky note work doodles, pt. 2
something from the emmetsicle au (that i will probably never finish) based on a concept @redsiren308 had about the power of love warming emmet up post-icicling. hugging him back to life. very scientifically sound
The Dragons’ Sibling by @cuz-reasons
He held Reshiram closer, curling his body around what little he could with a snarl and bared teeth. He saw red. He would protect his brother, no matter what.
I think that gem AU Ingo and Emmet are really funny because gems pop out of the ground as fully functional adults ready to perform their duties so I'm just imagining them popping out at the exact same time like:
Ingo: Trains
Emmet: Trains
Ingo/Emmet: TRAINS
And from that day forward they were always stationed together
I also think that they'd do really well in era 4 compared to other gems because all of this new "free thought" nonsense is the perfect opportunity for them to implement all of their wild ideas they've been cooking on how to make homeworld's public transportation system more fun (homeworld battle subway)
(apologies for how late the response to this is- still getting used to answering asks! i appreciate the ask immensely anyway!) no, it is really funny LOL in the gem au, they're also a case of a twinning crystal (like the rutiles) splitting before forming, just so i could make them Extra Identical. even if they weren't stationed together, they would insist upon it. the moment they formed they looked at each other and went 'this guy gets me'. i think it would be cute if they still did actually have to get to know each other, though. i always think that's a fun angle in aus like this where they aren't technically brothers in the traditional sense.
this au doesn't take place in the same world as steven universe in the sense that steven and co. exist, but if it did, they would definitely be thriving in era 4. so much creativity! combinations of different gems! wow! and yes, 100% homeworld battle subway. them and the battle subway are a package deal, even in another universe.
@not-a-font i've actually since changed their weapons to be dual swords and a shield so that their combo could be an axe that looks like a coal shovel, because trains (you can see it vaguely in this doodle)
but your idea is way too good. emmet says you're done, get yoinked idiot

ben 10 au where they don't send an emotionally unstable 11 yr old to space prison and he is aggressively befriended instead
taking a break from trainguys for a moment for (very old) collection of short-lived ben 10 reboot/sequel ideas
May we get some spoilers for dnd submas reunion? If not, is it possible to compare Warlock Ingo's abilities vs Paladin Ingo's abilities?
HMMMM reunion spoilers....how about an out-of-context quote from the fic?
“‘This place’ is my home,” Ingo says, and his voice drips with a venom that Emmet has never heard directed at him, not even during their worst arguments.
have fun with that!
as for Paladin Ingo vs Warlock Ingo!!
the main difference is, of course, the source of their powers– Paladin Ingo gets them from his oath of upholding safety checks, and Warlock Ingo gets his from his connection to Sneasler.
so Paladin Ingo has a lot of protective spells, a lot of wards and shields, healing abilities, etc. he shares many of these with Emmet since they have the same oath and class in this case. actual DND spells that would be relevant here are things like Shield of Faith, Cure Wounds, Warding Bond, ironically Protection from Poison, things like that. he also knows Compelled Duel as a parallel to single battles hehe
Warlock Ingo, on the other hand, is more focused on protecting by attacking, i.e. being stronger than the potential threat to drive it away. of course he's got some form of Eldritch Blast, it's a warlock rite of passage, but also things like Poison Spray, True Strike, and Frostbite. he's got access to some of Sneasler's moves like Dire Claw and Close Combat, but due to her "higher being" status they're more suped-up than the typical pokémon move and akin to a full spell. both Paladin and Warlock also have access to some of the movepool of their pokémon partners/weapons, as is the case for anyone with a bonded pokémon; so Paladin Ingo has a focus on fire, ghost, and dragon abilities, and Warlock Ingo can use Gliscor's ground and flying-type moves. and yes he does figure out a way to use some version of Earthquake in both classes ;)
DnD submas O_o
...I'm curious
be curious no longer, anon! despite the fact that it took me like ten days to answer this! i'm holding myself back from writing an MLA-formatted essay describing the entire au, so i'll just give you the basics (which will still probably be long, whoops).
the general idea of this au is that Ingo, Emmet, Elesa, and other relevant pokémon characters exist in a DND-themed fantasy world (not that they are playing a DND session and these are their characters. important distinction).
classwise, Ingo is (currently) a human eloquence bard (i'm being wishiwashi about it), and Emmet is a human echo knight fighter (because double battles!); they are both also paladins with the (made-up) oath of safety due to their conviction to uphold safety checks being so strong that it gave them powers.

The search for your missing brother has brought you to this dilapidated temple. Its main hall is lined with faded tapestries that reach the ceiling. The only light is the dim glow of your brother's sleeping Chandelure. Your Eelektross emerges from sword form to hover beside you, tapping its claws together anxiously. What do you do? > Examine the tapestries > Continue down the hallway
The Warlock and the Paladin
