dorothy lets out a surprised little oh ! when her husband comes up behind her after they get off the elevator & sweeps her off her feet . the butterflies in her tummy going wild as she looks up at his handsome face , an impish & impossibly dazzling smile on his face that softens into an expression of pure awe & adoration ; dorothy isn’t sure she’ll ever get used to anyone looking at her in such a way . when he kisses her ; her response is timid & soft , but she eases into it & pushes back with equal force & passion . even biting his lip gently , which elicits a surprised but hopefully appreciative little gasp from the male .

he’s carrying her bridal style , fitting considering the situation . he’s her husband now , & the wedding was beautiful . she’d wanted to get married in oz where they had met & the ceremony had been attended by what she was almost certain was the entire emerald city , the munchkin city , & other cities she hadn’t visited in their journey . oh , how the tinman & the lion had wept tears of joy . she swears she even heard the tin man say to the lion ‘ see ? i told you they would end up together ‘ . dorothy looks towards the open door & at the bed waiting for them , fiyero knows this is all new to her & she feels safe with him .fiyero kisses her forehead ; & carries her across the threshold into their honeymoon suite .

okay but can i just ; dorothy gale is so brave & quick to protect / defend those she loves and it’s one of my favorite things about her & it’s so important . she gets scared sometimes yes but who doesn’t ? when the lion goes after toto she moves in & smacks him on the nose ; if the lion hadn’t been the cowardly & sweet lion we all love that would have probably ended really bad & dorothy herself thought he was a fearsome blood thirsty lion so the fact that she would essentially put herself in danger like that speaks volumes about her . i hope everyone has a friend like dorothy gale at some point in their life , i remember as a child wanting so badly for her to be real so we could be bffs ; 3 ;
