okay random rant time

I was rewatching jjk as one does and I got to when Junpei (MY SWEET ANGEL) was introduced. And Junpei’s whole story is that he gets bullied severely to the point of dropping out of school, then he meets the cursed spirit mahito and he get manipulated into hurting others (well there’s a lot more than that but that’s the jist)

So onto my real rant, I feels like when ever Junpei is written about he always gets miss characterized. He’s always soft, shy and gentle but he isn’t like that???? Like did we watch the same show…? I mean he’s kinda like that but not really. Like when we first get introduced to him he’s getting beat up by bullies, really badly might I say. Like they were feeding him bugs, burning his forehead with cigarettes, beating him until he’s bloody and unconscious. Also four against one. Do you know what he says? He says “your not as hot as you think you are (he’s getting beat up because a girl was saying he’s a pervert and she’s there in that scene) these guys know that two, they’re just going along with it because they want to bang you.”…is that not extremely brave??? Maybe the miss characterization is because his voice is really soft but like he isn’t some damsel in distress. He literally got revenge on them so like…I donno…
