I just want to say that riddlebird being wlw doesn't change the fact that they're two manipulative pieces of shit.

Like, in my au I'm pretty sure Oswalda would shower Edith in extravagant gifts and drape her in expensive jewellery on purpose, to make Edith hesitant about voicing any disagreement, especially before she fully comes into her Riddler persona. And Edith would absolutely do Gotham series style love bombing to monopolise Oswalda's personal life and would butter her up for personal gain. They're definitely still toxic as hell and constantly weaponize each other's insecurities, with Oswalda claiming Edith's villainous career as her own achievement and Edith claiming to be the only living person to actually care about Oswalda and put up with her bullshit.

They're made for each other because both are equally horrible. If they'd ever get married, they'd eventually get fucking banned from every civil registry in Gotham for divorcing and remarrying each other ten times a year. And would do so very publicly every single time

I really want to finish this sketch sometime soon, I'm just battling both college and psychiatrists this week lol.

But imagine, guys. Lady Penguin from the caped crusader and transfem Riddler as girlfriends.

I just needed to write down my headcanons for this shit. So, I declare this girlfailure to be Edith Nygma (Edna is also an option, but I didn't feel like it. And her last name definitely used to be Nashton, but she committed to the bit hard).

Picture Gotham series s1 Ed transitioning, that's pretty much it. She's in her thirties and dresses like an e-girl art student, still trying to figure out this girl shit fresh out of the closet. But! Oswalda isn't here for nothing, she teaches Edith how to be a classy woman, how to dress, do makeup and walk on heels properly, definitely buys her fancy stuff as well. Like, you're already a girl, but let's help you become a woman. Obviously, very sapphic, very lesbian, because why not.

Btw, I think it would've been cool if Edith at first kind of started doing crime like the 2022 Batman Riddler, but her Riddler persona is pretty genderless at first. And only after Edith actually finds her footing, she starts acting like the usual Riddler, shows her face, insane amounts of flair, the whole thing.
