you gather all your shopping bags and load them into the trunk. little did he know you were out all day buying him gifts for hitting 200million streams on spotify. the whole ride over you could barely stay still the thought of hollis reaction fueling the excitement. finally you got to his building climbing up all the stairs with heavy shopping bags in hand is not for the weak but you managed and got them up. next step sneak in without him noticing the bags, you paused for a moment thinking about how to make this work. finally you decide on opening the door yourself using the key he got you for “emergencies”leave the bags outside greet him normally then slip out and get everything once he thinks your just there to hang out. okay let’s go. you carefully use the cute pink key with a h engraved on it that he had made for you to get in. you open the door careful to not make any noise then you see him just sitting on the couch headphones in eyes closed. you knock against the already opened door just to get him to notice you.
“y/n! hollis exclaimed already jumping up from the clean white couch towards you. “i didn’t know know if you were still coming” he explains while pulling you into a warm hug “i told you i would come” you responded with a smirk before pulling him in for a kiss because you were gonna come no matter so you could celebrate 200mil with him of course he didn’t know about that. hollis had never been the type to always be watching what was happening how many streams,most popular song, what the people loved, what they hated he made music purely because he enjoyed it. the amazing fans and huge paychecks were just a little treat on top of that.
“c’mon let’s go sit down babe”
“uhh one second hollis i have to go get something”
“that’s fine i’ll come with”
“just sit dow. i’ll be right back okay?”
you can be his mouth open but no sound coming out as he goes and sits down like you said. you hurry out and get the bags as quick as possible not wanting to leave him waiting too long. once you have all the gifts and a small white and silver cake with with candles spelling out 200m on it you sneak back into the apartment. as you poke your head in you see the door to hollis’s room left slightly open so you can see his long blonde hair and huge frame peeking through. you start recording and run in.
“HAPPY 200MILLON STREAMS!!” his eyes lit light up immediately a huge grin taking over his face
“y/n what is this” he asks softly
“you hit 200 million streams on spotify hollis thought we should celebrate why do you not want to?”
“no no no i do want too c’mer baby” he gushed before pulling you onto his lap and giving you a big hug and burying his face against your neck. “y/n i lobe you so fucking much thank you”
you pull back and trace your fingers along his jaw before gently lifting his chin up to you “love you too hollis”
