10 Essential Daily Self-love Practices For Your Healing Journey
1. Meditation - being present with ourselves. Making time to set down the mental baggage we accumulate throughout each day reduces stress & improves our mental health over time.
2. Mindfulness - grounding ourselves in the now. The present moment is where we experience our deepest joy. We must love ourselves enough to lose our mind and comeĀ to our senses when our thoughts wander away from the now.
3. Breath - the essence of life.Ā Consciously taking deep breaths throughout the day has a calming effect on the body & mind and stops shallow breathing which can induce stress.
4. Nature - reconnecting with ourselves. Immersing ourselves in nature is essential for our healing because it influences the subconscious to create peaceful thoughts. There is no wifi in nature, but we are guaranteed to find a better connection.
5. Rest - making time to do nothing. Living our lives by the clock takes its toll on the body and mind - this is why we need to make time to rest. Rest does not mean spending hours in front of screens - it means completely relaxing the body and mind.
6. Tribe - surrounding ourselves with positive people. We cannot hope to heal ourselves if we are surrounded by negativity, we must spend our time with those who support and nurture our growth. A hot air balloon canāt take flight if itās tied to the weights on the ground.
7. Diet - what we feed the body & mind. We are what we eat, if we are consuming positive content we will manifest positive thoughts. If we feed ourselves healthy foods we will manifest better physical & mental health.
8. Exercise - letting the yang energy flow. Strenuous exercise such as running allows us to release yang energy, expressing this energy through the body helps us to let go of anger & resentment.
9. Bathing - taking care of the vessel. Cleaning our vessels regularly promotes physical health and is a form of self-love. A regular hygiene practice also promotes self-confidence.
10. Creativity - expressing ourselves without limits. Repressed emotions are a common cause of mental health challenges, allowing these emotions to be expressed through creativity prevents them manifesting as poor mental and physical health.
Healing ourselves starts with loving ourselves.

This sounds like a lot, but itās true. An estimated 100,000,000 sharks per year are killed, threatening many species with endangerment or extinction.
Scary predators are important to the ecosystem, too. Conservationās not just about the panda bears.
I used to be a furry
ever since I was old enough to walk I used to pretend I was some sort of Fox, or wolf, or cat.
I was so lacking in stimuli at home.
living in the remote country, closest neighbors were cows, the days of only 3 channels and we had a library of disney/Don bluth vhs movies.
After years of bounding around our living room with my two younger sisters, I was so immersed in my make-believe that I started to actually believe.
I was there to guard the girls, protect them, and live in the house. I never had friends over, we never did holidays (they were pagan and wrong yknow), and I based my life on being a pet. a tool. a dog.
I ran as fast as I could, climbed as much as I could, lifted things as heavy as I could stand, because I believed wholly that I was part wild animal.
This actually kept me quite physically fit.
I did force myself out of my delusions though.
Just before my boyfriend and I were to move out from our parents' houses and in together, I sat on the floor of my bedroom.
I looked at my hands. "They are human hands, they will never have actual claws. I'm not wild. I'm not vicious. I'm not carefree. I'm a normal, regular, weak , weird human being. "
After a bit of crying I moved on, never tried running on my "fours" again, (its like doing burpees but also going forward.) and accepted that what I was doing was deluding myself out of the most boring life.
I still make sure to try making the best out of bad situations. I'm much older now.
All the magic was logic'd away. I don't even have interesting dreams anymore. The setting is always the same house I'm in, same people I see while awake.
Now a days, I'm trying to make sure we find fulfilling activities, hobbies, exercise. It's an okay life.
