Eider shoved his hands into his pockets, slouching and kicking at the bottom of the couch with the side of his foot. It was obvious that something hadn’t gone according to plan by the others frantic movements. Even more so when his things were so unceremoniously tossed his way, hitting his chest and falling onto the floor. He had reflexes like a cat. Anybody who said otherwise was a filthy liar.
In return, Eider turned and fell back onto the couch, partially crushing whatever part of Aaric happened to beneath him at the time of impact. Leaning his head back to lean against the worn back of the couch and lolling over to look at the red head, eyebrows raised. “Wow, thanks for handing them to me so delicately . I really appreciate that. So I’m sure you have some long explanation for all of this, riddles and responsibility and all that.” He paused, lifting his head slightly to get a better look at the slowly fading marks on the side of Aarics face. “But you can explain that to me while we drink.”
Aaric let out a bit of a yelp when the other sat (very gracefully) on his mid section. He quickly coughed off the yelp, deeming it very un-Aaricy, and sat up, kicking the other off of him. "Drinks? We're going to go drinking?" Aaric frowned, searching around for some sort of clock. "What time is it, anyways? 9?" Aaric rubbed at his eyes, letting out a large sigh. Swinging his legs over the side of the worn-down sofa, and stretching out his arms, the red-haired boy looked over to his best friend, his eyebrows raised, and his posture a total mess. "Fine."

I suppose I’m a bit overwhelmed with everything. It’s going to feel odd to never come back to Hogwarts. Not that this place means a very big deal to me and all, it’s more of the fact that I’ll be back home. It’s a bit frightening to think of where we’re all going to be in a few years. -looks over you carefully, feeling something drop to my stomach with the thought of where you’ll be, even if the thought is clear in my mind, i shrug it off, determined to stay on the positive factors, just this once- Eider wants me to come home with him and help him run some sort of duck feeding pen in London. -chuckles- He’s an odd one, really.

This was not how he wanted to be spending his evening. No. Actually on the list of things he wanted to be doing, skulking around the castle and trying to solve the riddles left for him to get his things was not one of them. Actually he had other plans entirely including but not limited to a smoke and a good old fashion date with his mattress. But nope. Stupid clues. Stupid Aaric. He had to have checked out every clock and chess seat on school grounds, finding nothing more that another riddle and not even a trace of his things.
“What has four legs and a head, but doesn’t walk.”
He had gotten the answer a while before. A bed. Really Aaric could’ve been a bit cleverer with that one. He was loosing his touch. But loosing his touch or not Eider was not prepared to go on some endless chase to check all of the beds in the school and instead retreated back to the common room, determined to steal some kind of bedding belonging to someone else and dig back into the stash of less than fresh cigarettes that he had rolled prior to the newer ones being taken. But of course, upon arriving he was met face to face with his things.
A bed.
The couch in the common room where he had spent far too many nights first year with the ginger he happened to call his best mate who by chance was there along with them. “Okay so let me get something straight. You send me around the castle, solving worthless riddles…so that I could come back and find you sleeping with my things. Go on get up, nap times over.”
Aaric groaned, turning over on his side, glaring up at the other with half lidded, extremely tired, eyes. "What?" Aaric's voice was croaky, and even to himself, he was certain he sounded like someone had been choking him for the last hour. That's when it hit him. He shot up from his lounging position, and cleared his throat nervously. Falling asleep hadn't been the plan, and finding Eider peering over him only reassured him that he had royally fucked up said plan. After sending his best friend on a wild goose chase ( no pun intended ) he was suppose to calmly explain that riddles were good for the brain, and he was simply making up for the millions of other Ravenclaws who had answered riddles on his behalf. Waking up with messed hair, and pillow streaks on his face? No. Not the plan at all. Out of habit, Aaric ran a hand nervously through his red locks, looking up at the other curiously. He wasn't sure if he was going to be punched, or asked to move over. Though, it seemed he never knew with the other. Eider was an enigma of sorts. Maybe that's what made Aaric like the other so much? Who knows, really. "Well, here's your stuff." Quickly Aaric tossed the others stuff back to him, careful not to make too much eye contact. He rubbed at the pillow marks lining his freckled cheek, and stretched slowly. He loved the common room couch, and claimed it as a second home, but he couldn't deny how shit it made your back feel afterwards.
