/(Jensen) hates how panels with Misha turn into minefields in this fandom/ I think I agree with you if I understand this right. Jensen was ok doing solo, duo, and group panels. He was ok doing a duo with Misha. He's friends with Misha. THE PROBLEM BECAME fans trying to give him carefully worded questions from which they then analyzed every off the cuff answer for fights. Some interpretations of which are directly against what he clearly stated about how he played Dean (Whether fans agree or not)
I always get people big mad about this, but I've heard this from multiple sources including from someone who ships destiel and cockles and who has worked with Jensen on a professional level, but also has hung out with him outside of cons.
Also just watch the panels and look at how rarely they take questions from the audience compared to other panels. It's disappointing to me because I would love to hear more questions about the Dean and Castiel relationship, but I understand Jensen doesn't want to be called homophobic and I wouldn't want to either.
Yes, Jensen does do some innuendos, similar to how he does with Jared, but he does more with Jared because he knows that people won't take it seriously. For example, he can joke that he's going to make out with Jared in the finale because he knows that nobody would take him seriously. On the other hand, if he were to joke before the finale that he was making out with Misha, he knows that some fans would take that seriously, and then would accuse him of queer baiting when that didn't happen.
He faced this double edge sword of being accused of queer baiting when anything remotely shippy happened, but then when he would say that Dean was straight and that Destiel wasn't real, he would be called homophobic.
At Crossroads, Misha complained about fans who violate their boundaries and push them into doing shipping ops, and sometimes they'll say yes just to get the situation over with, but regret it later.
Even if I hadn't heard what my friend said about how many of those people push boundaries, I've seen it first hand in the fandom and there's been many fandom accounts of people pushing boundaries, including someone who was mad that Misha wouldn't let her do an op around motorboating.

I find this absolutely fascinating how some y'all think I don't enjoy the dynamics between J2M when I explain why we don't get as much shippy stuff from Jensen & Misha as compared to the others.
From my perspective, if I was an anti, I would just say that Jensen doesn't like Misha, which I see the actual antis saying. I don't say that. I make it clear that Jensen and Misha are friends. I also make it clear that they would do more shippy stuff for the fans, the same as J2 or Mishalecki, but they don't because some fans lack chill and push boundaries.
I don't see how you can be part of this fandom and not see how some fans push boundaries.
So what's your explanation for why they don't just swap Misha in for Jared when Jared cancels? Because Creation could be selling Cockles panels, but they aren't.
