Size is Relative
Today, I went on a little outing for the Fashion Industry Essentials course! My assignment was to go out, and try on different sizes of clothes to find out what may fit me best. I ended up at the American Eagle in my local mall, and tried on quite a few different options. I would say I grabbed about 5 different sizes in a top I liked, jeans, as well as a sweater. For me personally, in the top, I was looking for a more oversized look, so I started with a bigger size. I soon realized that the top was marketed as oversized, so the size that I initially picked was too big. It really makes you think more about how different sizing works within a store. Depending on cut, how it’s marketed, and how your body looks, ten different sizes may work on one person’s body! It really goes to show that size is in fact relative.
