Okay. Been a while since I've made a Tumblr post.

So, this is a site for handling anything related to The Trials and Tribulations of One Victor Freestone, an epistolary web serial set in an alternate version of 1800s America. The eponymous Black physician has set up shop in the small Missouri town of Henshaw, to the distaste and confusion of the locals. Those who aren't concerned about the newcomer's race are perplexed by the mysteries surrounding him. Why did he choose Henshaw, of all places? Why did the town's former doctor gave him his office when he retired? Why does the town reverend always look at him suspiciously? And what's with his odd habits and strange demeanor and his secrecy regarding his particular healing methods?

I'll be posting here whenever there's an update (we're currently shooting for once every two weeks). I've also opened asks if anybody wants to ask questions about the work or contact me.

If you are particularly clever and pure of heart, you can take your depression and use it to fuel greater things. I have two entries fully written yet unpublished, an actual queue for the first time this year, and it hurts to be alive.

I've been kind of fumbling blind through much of Act 4, which I think has affected my ability to keep putting out updates because it's harder for me to plot things out than to actually write. But now I have a clear view from here to the end. So much easier to get things done when I can go 'and in three to five entries, I can write someone getting pecked to death'.
