Straight up the best moment in any video game ever (while you’re playing it, cutscenes not included) is in Titanfall 2 when the button prompt “Press X to Time Travel” pops up. Nothing will ever top that split second of pure raw primal hype being immediately injected into your veins.

All Viper's Voice Lines (including unreleased lines)

The added detail of the breathing to counteract the g force pilots face during certain maneuvers is a wonderful and accurate touch.

It also sounds like he was supposed to have a partner. Apparently it was supposed to be a Ronin called "Mamba."

I think, for me at least, the problem with Apex is that I only really got into it because of Titanfall. And, as much as I love Titanfall's story and lore, what really captivated me about it was the gameplay. Which Apex doesn't have.

And Apex was able to hold me by offering continuations of Titanfall's lore for a while, but eventually the fact that I'm just not a huge fan of BRs as a genre started to weigh it down. Combine that with some questionable writing choices and I just sort of struggle to find enthusiasm for it anymore.

I don't think I'll ever completely abandon it, but, like. I'd be surprised if I ever finish a Battle Pass again, yeah?
