When I think about you, I think of Ecclesiastes 3. God says that there is a time for everything. We had our time, we shared our love. But, our time had to come to an end. Now there is a time for mourning. Although this may feel like time is dragging, God will bring forth a time of dance and laughter. He is the director of time, and His timing is perfect.

Today I finally threw away all of the old letters, pictures, articles of clothing, and everything else that I've been holding onto for far too long. I always told myself I would keep it all forever so I can look back on it when I'm older, but then I realized how sick it all made me. Yes I want to remember all of the wonderful times, and when I look at those things it takes me back to that place, but I will never be there again and living in a fantasy world isn't healthy. So, after a few deep breaths, everything is gone forever.

I don't use tumblr anymore, but tonight I am sad. Recently I have had to let go of a lot, and my view of what God has for me is becoming blurrier and blurrier. I know how much God loves me, so I just have a hard time believing He wants me to hurt this badly. Therefore, I am left blaming myself: maybe I'm dwelling in the past too much, or maybe I'm not focusing enough on God. But either way, I am desperate for God to take this away. This plan that I had for myself is not what God has for me. God is going to rock my world, like He always does, in ways I cannot fathom right now. But being patient and attempting to grip this hope that is slowly falling from my hands is torture.
