Are you sure she's not your girlfriend? There seems to be something special between you two

Christmas Letter
When the words are becoming so strong that you can’t keep them inside your mouth anymore. When the thoughts are becoming so omnipresent that your dreams become a never-ending loop. I have waited. I have tried to ignore them. To convince myself I had no chance. It did not matter. I took a pen. A piece of paper. Then a dozen, to finally come up with a letter. True, honest words. The heart does not care about logic. Single or not, she was the one it has anchored at. I needed to know in order to let it go. To move forward. Somehow, I think I already knew how she felt. But I least, I would have done everything I could.
Me, pegasus and the savanna
I overslept this morning. Alarm clock didn't ring. I had one of my weirdest dreams. I remember clearly a good part of it. I should try to recreate them more often : I was riding a horse and looking at the horizon. I saw African animals - different species that I have encountered in Africa last year - bathed by the sun in the horizon. The scene was absolutely breathtaking. I remember the exact thought I had :
“ Jeez, I don't have my camera ! ”
And at this moment I saw a Pegasus taking off from the pack of animals. I didn't tell myself it was a complete non-sense. Instead I remained completely amazed by this splendid view. I must say, I have never seen one before !
The end of the dream is about talking to another horse and trying to pay an enormous hotel bill with restaurant coupons that don't have the same amount, while my girlfriend is cooking tones of eggs in a plancha, in front of me.
I guess it was for the best, that I finally woke up.
Talking to my diary
We (Me and She) moved to Annecy three months ago. I never really thought about moving there. It was an important decision. She loves the city, she has also her family. I do have my parents there as well, so it makes sense. And most of all, it was our project as a couple. And we made it happen.
The place is quite different from Grenoble. It seems better, with three months experience so far. The lake and his surrounding are beautiful, the whole area is kind of quiet and our new apartment has proper rooms. Yeah, proper rooms ! If you ever lived in a studio, you know why I am so excited about having separate rooms (I won't go into details though).
I am now really happy with our choice, even though I had a hard time leaving my apartment. I thought, because I made a decision and I was ready, that this big change wouldn't affect me. Well, I remember the day we moved out. As we were clearing out the place and as I was - definitely - closing the door...
Ground Zero Memorial
I didn’t see the twin towers. Ground Zero is imposing. These two giant holes are very well designed. Material and color are very sober, and the whole thing looks like “black reversed fountains”. We stayed a while, contemplating.
As we left the place, we passe by another huge building. I can’t remember the name (The eye of the world ? The observatory ?) It looked so tall. We tried to enter but a guy told us that the place wouldn’t be open to the public until september, at least.
Some views from the Empire State Building
I wasn’t sure whether I would do it or not, considering we already went to the Top of The Rock. But, going to NYC and not doing the empire, it didn’t sound great at all. So the day of our departure, before lunch, I “climbed” up there. Beautiful !
Manhattan’s buses and taxies
We were either on foot or using the subway, so we didn’t gave ourselves a chance to call a taxi. Damn it, it looks like we must go back !
Manhattan’s healthy food - March
Sometimes words are just pointless. I will always miss you guys.
Brooklyn - March 7th
“How Sweet It Is !”. Well, first thing to say, even though the sun came out, it was freezing, especially on the bridge (yes, I know, we are so photogenic).
The day in Brooklyn way good. Way more peaceful. It was like we were back to “normality”.
Street Art - Little Italy’s district
I kind of regret that we didn’t look for more of these. We went to Little Italy twice, first because it is a charming district, and also because Soho district is nearby... (the place you MUST avoid at all cost if you don’t want to spend your money on clothes !)
Time Square - March 7th
We actually went there almost everyday, for it is a huge subway crossroads. It was the first place we wanted to visit as soon as we put our luggage in our room.
This is such an astonishing place, bursting with lights, sounds, cars. Sobriety is not a concept in Time Square, I am telling you.
Well, I must be honest : at the end of the week, we were already tired of it. I wonder how New Yorkers feel about this place, for it looks like you can’t even pause for a minute.
Squirrels of Manhattan - March 4th
I never thought I would encounter so many squirrels in Manhattan. I mean, when you think of it, it looks unlikely to find those creatures among so many buildings.
Nevertheless, In almost every park of the city, they are here, eagerly waiting for something tasty to eat !
Top of The Rock by night - March 7th
I usually have dizziness pretty quickly. I assure you that when we were on top, I wasn’t feeling confident at all : as barriers, they put huge glasses, in order to allow a good view.
However, the scene was stunning indeed. The air was getting warmer (I mean, less freaking freezing) and it was a moment of peace.
Statue of Liberty - March 4th
We were so eager to see it that we took the wrong ferry. It was a good laugh though.
It may seem a bit silly, but I always thought the statue was way bigger than it actually is. It is big, but not - that - big. Well, I would be happy to have your opinion on that matter !
Vixen !, AFA Gallery, Soho district - March 5th
We came across several art galleries in Soho district. This one held an exhibition of Brandt Peters, Vixen !. ‘Guess I don’t need to explain...
I would have bought one of these, but my incomes are still way to low for me to afford that kind of art !
Out of Sight
I usually try to share links and videos elsewhere, but this one simply touched me. If you have 5 minutes to spare, you definitely ought to watch it.
