ok hiiiii i’m finally making a pinned post about myself! read before following please!

- i’m kale! i’m a white tme lesbian (she/her) living on stolen anishinaabe land in so called “canada”. i’m 27 years old (march 8th 1999) and work as an educational assistant (specializing in working with students with autism, but i do a lot of work with students who have down syndrome and/or FASD as well).

- this blog isn’t primarily about politics, but they will be present in some posts. i’m a marxist-leninist. if any of this bothers you, it’s best not to follow.

- no terfs/misogynists/racists/etc etc. misandry isn’t real. transandrophobia isn’t real. reverse racism isn’t real.

- there’s no theme here- i kind of post whatever i want. lots of media that i enjoy. occasionally sports + history. VERY reblog heavy!!!!

- not listing all the shit i got going on in the dome, but you’ll definitely figure out that something’s wrong if you follow long enough

i think it’s probably bc I grew up in a small business owning family but i have never met a small business owner who didn’t have delusions of grandeur so severe that they weren’t even operating in reality anymore. their terribly run businesses would be six figures in debt and they’d still be strutting around like jeff bezos and when they inevitably fail, it’s all the stupid customers fault for not giving them money for subpar + expensive products. it’s an intense sort of entitlement you don’t see outside of like, royal families

shortly after our own business went under my dad started working for a sort of association of small business owners in our city (this was during the pandemic so there was a lot of financial struggles) and all the business owners he talked to were like, crying about the unfairness of the government for shutting down a food truck that literally NEVER REGISTERED AS A BUSINESS (to dodge taxes) and stored their food so improperly that people got critically ill from it. he had to be like ok so ☺️ that wasn’t a legal business and they gave a bunch of people foodborne illnesses

I suffer from something that can only be described as "grim postmonitions;" upon succeeding at a dangerous task, such as walking up an icy set of slate stairs, my mind flashes with all the ways it could have gone wrong, e.g. slipping and cracking my skull on the masonry. from like 9 to 12 i would try to fall asleep by ‘making’ a new seinfeld episode in my head. i would open with a jerry seinfeld standup bit that was almost nonsense (its not like i can write standup like he can at 10 years old) and then it would be jerry and george arguing about a girlfriend i made up with some kind of pointless issue (”she wears bigger pants than me, jerry! everyones gonna know, who wears the pants!”) and then kramer would walk in. by that time id be almost out
