Hey guys! This blog is basically dead. I've decided to give RPing another try, and to also clean up all these spare blogs I have. Instead, I'd like to condense everything into one blog, so from now on any rping I do with Gaspar will be on my other Gaspar blog! Hooray!

Gaspar rolled his eyes. “You’re right, I was simply trying to get rid of you. I suppose your lot… or at least you are more intelligent than I first gave you credit for. If answering you would satisfy you… I serve His Holiness off and on, though mainly my abilities serve my Duke Cesare Borgia,” he replied, his voice dry. He did not expect that the names would scare off this rabble and save him the trouble of killing at least a few of them, but it would be nice. He didn’t feel like getting his gloves bloody.
His Holiness..? Sixtus? No, he mentioned Cesare Borgia. “You serve Rodrigo Borgia? And what do you do for the Spaniards?” While Vieri did give him more room, he was obstinately still lingering rather close. And no, he never had the sense to speak all that quietly or keep his mouth shut, even in Templar matters. But at the moment, he was operating under the assumption that, being that the Pazzi were in league with Rodrigo Borgia, the Grandmaster, he was safe from whoever this man was and didn’t fall into his cowardice yet. And more than anything, it didn’t stop him from looking down upon the man since, well, he appeared to be a fairly simple engineer.
Gaspar raised an eyebrow. "I think I've humored you quite enough for one day, boy. You should learn to keep your nose in your own business, not mine. Now get out of my face." The boy was a problem-- Gaspar wasn't going to tell him any more than that. He did consider killing the boy, but figured that with this attitude someone else would do the deed for him.

Gaspar was taken aback. He paused a moment, then sighed. “It’s just as well I drink this with you. I do not have any cause to celebrate these days, and as I said, rarely have company. The wine is good, and a waste drinking alone—” Gaspar stared as Federico downed the glass as though it was cheap ale. He was only marginally appeased by Federico’s compliment, and moved to refill the man’s glass.
He paused at Federico’s next comment and frowned. “I am unused to having company, monsieur. I do not even know what made me invite you here. I do not… normally get along with others.” ‘That is to say, I don’t enjoy the company of the simple-minded, which you have not yet proven you are exempt from,’ he thought to himself. As it was, Federico was so overwhelmingly extroverted and charming that Gaspar felt himself off-kilter. It was… unnerving. Well, that’s what the wine was for. “I suppose… we shall see? Tell me more about yourself.”
“Well,” his back straightened up, Federico looking at the man directly, “the first thing I can tell you about myself is that I believe there’s always a reason to celebrate. You’re alive. I’m alive.” He gestured around him. “As a man of intellect, you have many things to keep you busy and sharp. To put it simply, anytime is a good time. As for me,” he gave his thanks for another generous glassful of wine, before taking only a sip this time. “…I enjoy running and climbing.”
Gaspar snorted. “Yes, we are alive. Life is unpredictable, indeterminate…,” Gaspar muttered, before shrugging. “The most certain thing in life is death. As for the rest of it, I suppose that is true. If there are two things I enjoy in this world, it is drinking, and my work,” Gaspar added, his soft words hanging in the air.
After a moment, he smiled wryly. “You are a man of simple pleasures. What do you strive for?”
“The protection of others,” he said immediately, but quieting down after giving his answer. Nothing else was said as he finished off his glass. “Family, friends, people who living their lives and doing the best they can.” There was that grin of his again. “Sounds like I should be a guard, right? I think I’d look rather good in uniform. I’d protect you from your stacks of paper that try to attack you.”
Gaspar chuckled at that. "Yes, the guard sounds like a reasonable pursuit for you. Whether I'd need guarding from my stacks of paper remains to be seen however. I would not spend worry on me if I were you, Federico. I do not need protecting," Gaspar finished, sounding somewhat resigned. He poured another glass and drank from it, topping off Federico's in the process.
*grabs at them* Merde—! Give them back at once!
