CR3 EP 28 Spoilers

Oh shit oh fuck- idk if anyone has noticed this before, but Sam seems to be rolling a dice (I don’t know what dice for sure but i would guess it’s a d4?) after FCG completes a long rest.

I noticed this in the latest episode (E28, at around 4:28:50) and it happened before in episode 17 at 26:58.

At the moment I can’t think of any abilities that would require a dice roll after a long rest, but for some reason it made me think of the two very mysterious point FCG took way back when. Also I don’t know yet if this is something Sam has been doing all campaign? I’d have to rewatch quite a few moments from different episodes.

Okay I’m willing to bet the 1d4 Sam has been rolling has to do with the stress points!! My theory is that after each long rest he looses 1d4 of the stress points accumulated.

This would explain why FCG seems less “overwhelmed” after a long rest (again, Ep17 26:58, Sam looks happy with his roll, and later when Ashton asks how he feels he says he feels a little better. Maybe he got rid of some of those stress points but not all of them?)

I have nothing more to add to the current FCG conversation besides… it’s confirmed that FCG picked up the buzz saw and other “attack oriented” tools after the DPB died… so he killed them all with their bare hands.

I’m still recovering from episode 28. The race itself was so much fun, kinda nerve wracking with Laudna being the squishy corpse she is and FCG being A TINY LIVING WHEEL glued to a vehicle that could EXPLODE or CRASH or BREAK.

But what really took the wind out of my lungs was the aftermath of the race: there was a lot going on with lots of characters, but I’m a shameless FCG fan, and the way everyone celebrated and kinda forgot about FCG being stuck on the crawler… Them noticing and quickly bringing their attention away and back on Laudna… Imogen (whom I love and respect) bringing Laudna to FCG and in a bit of an accusatory tone saying “she’s about to die.”… I mean she promptly changed her demeanor and added “should we bring you to Imahara Joe?”, but still, she only softens up after she realizes that FCG isn’t doing great either. (Aka, once there’s a good enough excuse for him not be efficient and quick with their healing. Something something, FCG being valued for their efficiency and tangible contributions to the group)

And last but most CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, Sam’s body language, his voice, his expression and the way his eyes were darting around while they were bringing FCG to Joe. This man’s acting is giving me all sorts of Emotional Damage.

I need to rewatch the episode but we were straight up FED with FCG lore:

Dancer has been confirmed to have built the automatons out of PARTS she found, so I’m betting she came upon some old broken Aeormaton / Aeormaton parts and that’s how FCG started;

also the mine was near Evishi (I think that’s the name? I’d have to rewatch with subtitles-) which is much closer than I originally thought! I was assuming FCG and Ashton spent a while on the road getting back to Jrusar, but that might not have been quite as long. Still, based on the location on the map I’m assuming that’s a journey close to that from Jrusar to the Heartmoor- so they had to travel together for that time at least!

ALSO FCG IS 4 YEARS OLD. Or that’s how long they remember being conscious for. That’s twice as long as Sam stated previously.

Man. What the fuck is up with this lil fella.

I’m screaming crying FCG is setting boundaries and reconsidering their perception of soul touched folks and what is alive / isn’t and I’m SO EMOTIONAL ABOUT THAT.

On one hand during 4-sided dive Sam already said that FCG’s feelings about how they are treated were shifting because of bells hells, but to SEE them stand up for himself like that was just WONDERFUL. You funky lil automaton you are doing amazing.
