I think the Homestuck Epilogues are actually really creepy when you think about it. Because of the weird “controlling/writing the narrative” thing, so many characters basically get spied on during intimate and private moments that shouldn’t have an audience! Not to mention forcing things to happen when the characters are so clearly against it or unsure about it. That Davekat kiss was forced by Dirk I don't care what anyone says. If I’m remembering right, Dave was unsure and hesitating and said it felt wrong but Dirk kept egging him on until he did it. That’s not even the only instance of characters being forced into something or having their minds/thoughts messed with!

It’s all manipulation and coercion and planting ideas in the heads of characters that don’t want to do something. Why did they think that was ok??? Super weird and creepy.

I feel a bit bad for Davekat fans that this creepy slop is where their shipping material comes from (though their delusional is they genuinely think it’s good content for their horrible ship).
