The hardest part of being a friend
Is when you know you have something to say. You have it on the tip of your tongue and it'll knock over the ice burg. Less than three sentences and it'll change the way they look at you even if just for a second. Suddenly they'll know how dark things are. How you are under huge amounts of stress. How you were blackmailed and never told anyone. How you've been fighting a losing battle. How you don't know what to do. Maybe it is better to keep your mouth shut. That's what being a friend is, right? Being there for them. Not being a nuisance. They don't need to be weighed down by your life. But then again... Isn't friendship supposed to be a two way street?
