I love that Saga's relationships with other people are always so fucking weird. Like:

Casey is her coworker. He is her best friend and partner in every way. She cares for him on a deep level and considers him family. She has so many mementos of him! But yeah he's just a coworker—or not just a coworker, but her coworker. Partners forever! She'll kill for him.

David is her husband. She has no photos or anything that indicates she's married. She never thinks about him. Oh no, they're happily married. It's just that his presence only comes up when Logan is mentioned. For no reason at all.

Estevez is the OTHER fed. She out-feds Saga's fed. They pretty quickly become friends even though Estevez's squad gets mostly wiped out and her leg gets brutalized. Also she'll lend her a big fucking gun an hour after meeting her. I hope they meet for Chinese food later.

Wake is her psychically connected parallel that she found washed up on a beach. Her manic pixie dream girl more like manic-depressive mermaid nightmare man that takes her on a wild journey through her darkest nightmares when he writes her daughter as the victim of his horror story. She talks to him face-to-face like three times. Every other time they're psychically yelling past each other.

If we're talking about the plethora of very direct Dylan/Alan parallels, we also need to talk about the plethora of very direct Saga/Jesse parallels.

Saga and Jesse were both gaslit about their abilities by authorities in their lives—Saga by her mother (who meant well!), and Jesse by her psychiatrist (who maybe did not mean well). They both presumably grew up pretty lonely; neither of them have friends they mention outside of family. Saga and Jesse are deeply motivated by love, yes, but ALSO by mystery and—more importantly—the draw of the fantastic. These forces are constantly conflicting with each other. Jesse finds herself in the Oldest House and is immediately enraptured with it, despite the fact that her brother is being held captive in its walls. Likewise, Saga is instantly drawn into the mystery of the Cult, despite the blaring red flags telling her to turn back. (Now, this isn't to say they did anything wrong, because I don't think they did; Saga and Jesse are both being led by forces they can't possibly plan for!) Jesse's vision of going back to janitorial work and sliding back into complacency, the hints throughout Saga's story that she led a very lowkey life prior to joining the FBI in 2019, YEARS after her daughter was born. The card from her mother encouraging her to pursue her dreams, her fears being related to poverty and the loss of her dream job and family. They both have PONYTAILS and a GREAT sense of fashion. They love to make jokes and puns. So, all that said;

The other day my wife told me about this influencer who said she needed to go on ozempic so she could go from 130 lbs down to 115 and I really cannot stress the degree to which we have so COMPLETELY lost the plot with this glp1 shit. Like not only are people are going on this shit for purely cosmetic purposes, the cosmetic purposes are delusional.
