This print depicts a namazu as a priest seated inside a giant rosary. The creature does not want to cause any more earthquakes, but the “worshipers” – tradesmen such as lumber dealers and carpenters who profit from the disaster – are praying for it to act up again. The ghosts of earthquake victims float overhead.
The world’s oldest hotel is in Japan. Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan hotel in Yamanashi has been operating since 705 CE and has been run by the same family for 52 generations. Source Source 2

One of the favorites.
First day at the clinic was boring as fuck and exciting. Assistant prof made us read the syllabus in a highschool-like fasion, which was mind numbing... But we made first contact with clients! I can't believe next week I'll be seeing my first clients...

Being on my feet for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week has show the importance of taking breaks. Self care drives the vehicle of exhaustion and I’m learning how to not be the backseat driver. I need to listen to my body when I find myself becoming short, irritated, careless, and/or fatigued. This will become crucial as I begin seeing clients because I will more than likely become emotionally fatigued versus physically fatigued. Time will tell.
