Meet my new baby 😍 His name is Skye. He is an Indian Ringneck parrot in a lovely cinnamon blue clearhead pattern (hence his white head) who will be turning 3 on the 1st April. Skye needed to find a new home due to his previous owner’s rapid decline in health. After deciding I wanted to get myself a parrot and starting to look around, Skye’s advert went live just at the right time. I met him on Friday and fell in love immediately. Johnny’s case gels with my own experience on so many levels that I have ended up really glued to the sources of information I can find to hear the truth that’s the live stream straight from court so I can hear the words and evidence myself. There’s talk of him being a vile human being, yet I’m not seeing any evidence of this, there’s talk of him being a booze and drug hound, the actual evidence shows that the man has been in and out of sobriety his whole life. The man is a product of his wretched upbringing and like millions of others (and unlike some) he dampens his pain in an inward direction, not an outward one. Talking from personal experience. There is always a point you get to, where you are internally full and those painful feelings you are subjected to have to find some place else to go. It’s very easy to record these outbursts which are often muddled and erratic due to the (usually) years of abuse and gaslighting that you may have endured. Then it’s more to use against you. I remember being called a bully by my mother in law after I finally stood up to my then husband and said enough is enough with regard to my daughter’s mental health. I’m not a bully, but I’d had enough. Saying no isn’t wrong. We are all entitled to say no. It’s been said that I am blind to any wrong Depp may have done, rose tinted glasses and all that. I’m not. I just know that it doesn’t matter what he has done in his life, he does not deserve to be abused in the way he has been. No. He doesn’t deserve to be abused AT ALL. No one does. All too often men get little to no support in cases where women have abused them. All too often these cases end in depression, addiction, even suicide. So while buying @smolbean.adventures her budgies I succumbed to the lovable fluffies and ended up coming home with a pair of my own. Spartacus (double factor(homozygous) Spangle, grey cock) and Mira (single Factor (heterozygous) spangle, single factor (heterozygous) dominant Pied, Skye blue hen) with the breeder’s guidance these two may be paired to see if they will breed later in the year. Mira is last years crop and Cous cous (Spartacus’s pet name) was from this years crop like Olive and Cobalt.
