My Testimony / Where Have I Been?
Hey everyone, it’s been a while.
At first, I was unsure whether or not to make this post as it felt overly dramatic to. I wanted to say something for ages now, I finally took the time to do so.
First of all, thank you to everyone who submitted asks and have inquired about my whereabouts. Reading back all the messages I got whilst I was away was incredibly touching.
With the formalities out of the way, to be straightforward; I am quitting tarot. Why, you may ask?
To explain, when I was a child I got baptised via the Catholic Church. As I grew older, I gradually started to stray from that path and began doing tarot and whatnot and getting more in tune with that. As I got more and more in tune with it, I also became more depressed. It started off fine, then my life felt like it was getting worse as each day went. It was like I was stuck in a loop, I kept going back to tarot for guidance when I was upset and not doing great but it felt like those cards, the pendulums, the jars, the gemstones were all the reason why.
And within the time I was away, I started slowly reading about my faith again. I prayed the rosary for the first time in ages and I grew fond of it, I started going to mass. I started chasing salvation. I went to adoration and kneeled, not even on the kneelers. Rather, I kneeled on cold, hard, wooden floors. And that made me happier than tarot ever could. I felt at peace. I felt like I was home again.
Going back to my faith also introduced me to so many friends, so many people I have grown to love and care about.
As such, I felt so guilty about doing tarot and have decided to delete all of my posts related to it. What started off as a blog to distract myself from all my issues, for a lost soul to find a place to call home became the start of me finding my spark again and finally coming home. It has felt very full circle.
I appreciate everyone who has come to this page, who has sent asks, who has engaged in conversation with me and who has been a delight to speak to.
With that, I take my leave of tarot.
The important question; what will happen to this blog?
I’m going to repurpose this blog to make it more faith-orientated, to make it more about myself and my own hobbies. To explore my passions and interests further, rather than to do tarot.
Before I repurpose it, I will respond to a few asks I got whilst I was away (non-tarot related ones).
I sincerely pray all of you will be able to find happiness in your own ways and once again, thank you for sticking around for so long.
To conclude, I finally get to close such a large chapter of my life that helped me grow in so many ways.
Thank you.
